Part - Vampire at Hogwarts

First Meeting

Riana's POV

So Hermione came up with the idea for Harry to train a group of students. A secret Defense Against the Dark Arts group. So that we can learn to defend ourselves properly. As Umbridge and the Ministry refused to teach us how. I helped collect and select those who should be admitted. Though I was not sure about Cho and her friend. I don't feel like they can be trusted. But Hermione invited him anyway. We're all meeting in the Hogs Head in Hogsmeade for our first meeting. As it's a Hogsmeade weekend.

Anyway I was just leaving the castle. When I hear my name called. I turn and smile when I see Draco. "Hello Draco" I say.

"Hey Riana, so what are you going to do today in Hogsmeade?" he asks me curious.

"Some early Christmas shopping, then meeting some friends for lunch" I tell him.

"Let me guess Potter and his two friends" he says.

"Yep, care to join us?" I ask him.

"Pass" he states. "So have you told him yet?" he asks me. "The guy?" he asks.

"No" I say as we walk towards Hogsmeade. "I want him to fall for me before I tell him" I state.

"Why?" he asks confused.

"I want him to love me for me. Not because he feels he has to because of a mate pull" I tell him.

"I guess I understand that" he states. "Whoever he is, would be lucky to have you" he tells me.

"Even though I'm a half breed?" I ask teasingly.

"You maybe a half breed, but you are a very gifted witch. Strong, loyal, beautiful and smart" he states. Then blushes and I giggle.

"Well whoever you're betrothed is lucky also" I tell him. "You're great at potions, easy on the eyes and smart. You'd also do anything to keep your mother safe" I state. He smiles and hugs me.

"I'm so lucky to have a friend like you" he states and I stiffen. Friend zoned. But I'll be whatever he wants me to be. No matter how mush it'll hurt to see him with someone else. It'll be worth it when we're finally together.

"Have you told your parents you're friends with a half breed?" I ask him.

"No, dad would probably have a heart attack" he chuckles. "Though mum may not care, she may seem to care about blood purity. But she has lost so much because of it. I think if given a chance she'd change. Though she won't with him and my father around" he states.

"We're here" I state as we reached Hogsmeade. "See you around" I tell him.

"Have fun and stay out of trouble" he tells me.

"No promises" I tell him with a wink. We go our separate ways. I sigh running a and through my hair. Why must my beloved be him? It's be easier if it were someone else. But I wouldn't have it any other way.

"There you are!" Ginny cries when I join her and Luna. "Where have you been?" she asks me.

"Talking to an old friend" I state. "So where to first?" I ask them.

"Post office, I have a letter to send" Luna states. I nod and we head there. Ginny tried to find out who I saw. But dropped it when she realize I wouldn't say.

(Time skip)

We have all gathered and got a butter beer each. I stand with Ron, Hermione and Harry as we faced the others. Who had gathered for the meeting. "Um... Hi! You all know why we're here. We need a teacher. A proper teacher. One who's had real experience defending themselves against the Dark Arts" Hermione states.

"Why?" Zacharias Smith asks.

"Why. Because You-Know-Who's back, you toss-pot" Ron states.

"Use the name Ron" I tell him.

"So he says" Zacharias says nodding to Harry.

"So Dumbledore says" Hermione tells him.

"So Dumbledore says because he says! The point is, where's the proof?" he asks.

"If you don't trust Dumbledore's word, then why are you here?" I ask him annoyed.

"If Potter could tell us more about how Diggory got killed" another boy states. I think it's Micheal Corner. Ginny's current boyfriend.

"I'm not going to talk about Cedric, so if that's why you're here you might as well clear out now" Harry tells them. Then looks at Hermione, Ron and I. "C'mon, guys, let's go. They're just here because they think I'm some sort of freak" he states.

"Is it true you can produce a Patronus charm?" Luna asks him.

"Yes. I've seen it" Hermione tells her.

"So did I" I add.

"Blimey, Harry! I didn't know you could do that" Dean states.

"And he killed a basilisk, with the sword in Dumbledore's office" Neville adds.

"It's true" Ginny agrees.

"Third year he fought off about a hundred dementors at once" Ron adds.

"And last year he really did fight off You-Know-Who in the flesh" Hermione states.

"Honestly, you too? Say the name" I tell her. She ignores me.

"Wait... look, it all sounds *great* when you say it like that. But the truth is most of that was just luck. I didn't know what I was doing half the time, I nearly always had help" Harry states.

"He's just being modest" Hermione states.

"No he isn't" I tell  her.

"Riana's right, I'm not. Facing this stuff in real life is not like school. In school, if you make a mistake you can just try again tomorrow. But out there, when you're a second away from being murdered or watching a friend die right before your eyes... you don't know what that's like" he tells us.

"You're right, Harry, we don't. That's why we need your help. Because if we're having any chance against beating... Voldemort" Hermione finishes when I give her a look. I smile nodding my head.

"He's really back?" Nigel asks. Harry nods his head. We all write our names down on a piece of parchment Hermione spelled. Though only she and I know it's spelled. I helped her create the spell, after all. Afterwards we all went our separate ways. I go to my grandfather's shop.

"Riana, what a surprise" he says with a smile.

"Hello grandfather, how are you?" I ask him.

"I am well" he tells me. "I think you can start helping out at the shop this summer" he states.

"I'd love too. After all I will be running it one day" I state. He smiles and holds out his hand. I hand him my wand.

"In perfect condition as always" he says with a proud smile. He makes flower appear. Handing them to me.

"Thank you" I say with a smile. Taking them and pocket my wand. "I'll see you on the holidays" I state. He nods and I left. I then decide to return to the castle after buying blood pops. Enjoying one on the way back to the castle.
