Hope bursts into the gym to tell Alaric that Cleo has left the Salvatore School, but Alaric is adamant that they unlink the banshee and Jed before the rise of the full moon. Also to tell them that Eli has ran broke through the glass windows of the gym. To which the Banshee reveals that someone called him. A much bigger, badder, wolf.

Hope asks if Landon is safe now Cleo has left the school, as well as asks if it was Lycaon calling him. The bansee reveals that it was not her job to capture Cleo, but to drive her from the protection of the Salvatore School. And she confirms that it was Lycaon that called Eli, as the connection he shares with all the wolves of the school is strong enough to hear what Lycaon was saying. The Banshee goes onto to say that she saw a black wolf killing a human, tearing him to pieces. And to the horror of Alaric, she gave a description of the man Eli will kill. With this, Hope unlinks Jed and sets off to find Cleo using her werewolf abilities. And then, she will find Eli.

Back at the Salvatore Boarding School, Alaric talks with the banshee, remarking that he knows who she was before she became the banshee. The banshee is reluctant to listen, however, and after the boundary spell containing her wears off, she begins to scream. Her screams are halted by Alaric when he tells her that he knows what happens to her son. The banshee is immediately interested and Alaric explains that he is noted in the Doomsday Book and lived a healthy life after being stolen from her.

This information is enough to allow the banshee to rest, and she sets Kaelan free. With her final breaths, Kaelan explains to Alaric why Malivore is bent on capturing Cleo. Alaric later reveals to Dorian that Cleo is a muse. And then, he sets off to find Eli.

Meanwhile in the woods, Cleo is abducted by the hunter who was stalking her prior. He knocks her out with magical dust, presumably rending her powers useless and ties her up at a nearby tree. She is saved, however, by Hope who arrives moments later in her wolf form. The hunter flees when Hope transforms back into herself and prepares to attack him with his own weapon.

But then she sees 25 wolves within their Hispo Forms running into the woods. Before she can run after them, knowing Eli is among them, she suddenly trapped in a barrier spell.

And to her dismay, it's Aurelius. "Sorry, little wolf. But Lycaon had a funny feeling you were gonna catch your lover, so you're caged for now."

"I swear if you hurt Eli..."

"If it were up to me, he'd be dead a long time ago. Just like you outta be. But Lycaon has other plans for him. And make sure his plans come true, you will do well to stay out of the way." Aurelius walks away, but he stops after taking five steps. And turns to Hope with a wicked smile. "Oh and you might wanna tell your headmaster to start drinking. Because he won't get the opportunity to say goodbye to his friend and his wife." He reverts to his original Lich Form. "And I'll be one that breaks the news for him."

Hope realized what Lycaon was planning. She needs to get out of this boundary spell, but because she knows how those two are gonna die. They won't be killed by Lycaon, but by Eli.

Alaric calls Elena and Damon again. But no answer. He drives to the house just in time to see that the lights are on and as soon as he enters, to his horror, Elena is dead. Her heart is beside her, likely because a strong being ripped it out. "Oh my god! Elena!" He then looks around and he hears groaning and sees Jeremy getting up. "Jeremy..."

As soon as the supernatural hunter looks at Alaric, there's someone else behind him. "Ric, behind you!"

He turns and its Aurelius. In Lich Form. He pins Alaric and Jeremy against the wall with telekinesis. "Don't bother calling for help. The entire neighborhood is blissfully asleep. There for, no one is coming to help you."

"Where's Stefani?!" Jeremy asked.

"With my master, I'd imagine. And as for the boy, well... I don't know. He wasn't here when I killed Elena." Aurelius revealed. Feeling not remorse for doing it. "I'm guessing you're wondering why? Well it's because I've been learning a lot of what's been happening in this town for the last 20 or so years. And almost all of them involved protecting Elena and saving Damon. As well as meddle in people's plans. This time, you won't."

"When Derek and Bonnie come back here, they'll..."

Aurelius cuts Alaric off. "Bring her back to life? There's a problem with that. For Bonnie Bennett, she's trapped in her own home, because I erected a boundary spell and tied it to the full moon, which means she's trapped until sun up. As for where Derek Bennet is, I do not know as he's cloaked himself. No matter. Where he is, it will be too late. Because without the soul, any resurrection spell will be useless. And as for the body, well..." let's just say Qetsiyah and Derek weren't the only ones that could use Blue Pyrokinesis, as Aurelius sets Elena's body on fire with those types of flames.

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Both cried out in anguish as Elena's body is burnt to ashes. Without her body and soul, there's no way she can be brought back to life. "YOU MONSTER!" Jeremy shouted.

The lich laughed dryly. "If I had a nickel for every time I've been called that, I'd be rich." He then turns to Alaric. "Oh don't feel bad, Alaric. I won't be killing him. Nor will Lycaon. But someone else will." Both Alaric and Jeremy know who Aurelius is talking about. "I'm guessing you two are gonna say "Eli will never kill Damon." But I think he will. Lycaon will see to that. I hope you've said your goodbyes, because this will be Damon Salvatore end and Eli will belong to him."

Aurelia's walks away, but not before creating a boundary spell, bounding it to the full moon, so as to keep Jeremy and Alaric trapped. As he teleports away, Jeremy and Alaric tried calling on the school for help. Hoping someone will answer. But while Sarah Ravencroft answered, she said it will take time for her to break it. And by then it will be too late.
