[EDITING]
you took a polaroid of us,
then discovered,
the rest of the world was black and white,
but we were in screaming color,
and I remember thinking
are we out of the woods yet?

GREENE FARM 📍
season 2, episode 5
I woke up early in the morning, my mind still clouded with Rick's confession the night before. I felt nothing but guilt for milking that information from him and then breaking down in front of him with no words. To try and get my mind off of things, I consumed my time by doing chores around the house and farm.
Maggie and I were both feeding the horses, not saying a word to each other. I never had a chance to talk to her last night about what happened between her and Glenn, knowing that something obviously happened at the pharmacy whenever I left.
Maggie finished feeding the horse on the opposite side of me, she carefully watched me and slowly walked over to me to see my plain expression.
"You alright, what's wrong?" Maggie's voice was gentle, filled with concern. She leaned against one of the stall doors while staring at the side of my face.
I pulled my hand away from the horse's nose as I was petting it, I gazed over at Maggie with a frown and shook my head. "Nothin'," I muttered, turning away from Maggie and making my way toward the other horses, she followed right behind me.
"You sure? You didn't eat dinner last night with us again." Maggie pointed out, I let out a long annoyed sigh and turned away from the beautiful horse.
"Maggie, I'm fine. Really." I told her strictly, she stepped away for a moment as I looked at her boldly. Yet, she somehow didn't seem convinced.
Before Maggie could try to persist any further, I turned away from the sound of the horses loudly begging for attention so I turned my head toward the majestic creature and began to softly pet it.
"What happened between you and Water-boy?" I jokingly asked, moving the conversation over to talk about Maggie.
Maggie tilted her head to the side, obviously confused. "Me and Who?" She empathized, her eyebrows furrowed.
I let out a playful scoff, turning towards her, "You and Glenn, duh." I dragged out, Maggie looked at me even more confused but I noticed a small hint of blush on her cheeks.
"Why do you call him Water-boy?" She asked, I shrugged my shoulders and pushed away from the horse I was petting, grabbing a handful of hay and feeding it to the animal while speaking.
