(part 1)

"He might freak out a bit. Maybe punch you," I warned Aaron as we led him to the barn.

Aaron claimed to be from a large camp nearby, though he wouldn't say where. His story was convincing, and he didn't seem untrustworthy, but in this world, I wasn't sure what or who to trust.

The only thing I found strange was him saying we'd need to audition for membership, which I wasn't sure what that meant. He was also very secretive about where this camp was located, which I wasn't sure how to feel about.

But overall he seemed genuine with his camp, and if it was real– and not like Terminus– it could really change how we've been living. Yet, I was still hesitant, unsure if it was the right thing to do.

As the four of us walked, Maggie stayed close to Aaron, her pistol that was once in her hand now in her jean pocket. Sasha wandered behind us, her eyes squinted in suspicion. I led the three of them, my hand reaching for the barn door.

Once I opened the barn door, I peeked my head inside first, seeing that everyone was mostly awake. I caught a glimpse of Rick sitting on the ground, leaning against the wooden wall, his eyes trained on Judith as she babbled.

Everyone else such as; Glenn, Carl, Michonne, Abraham, Rosita, Gabriel, Eugene, Tara, Noah, Daryl, and Carol were already up and about, sitting around and murmuring words to one another.

With a heavy breath, I creaked the door open further, catching everybody's attention. "Uhm... Everyone... this is Aaron," I said slowly, letting Maggie, Aaron, and Sasha walk through the door.

As soon as everyone turned their heads, all I could hear were the clicking of weapons as the group quickly armed themselves, their eyes narrowing at the unfamiliar face. Rick stood up immediately, Judith in one arm while his Colt Python was in the other.

Daryl stalked up toward us without hesitation, moving behind us, his eyes scooping the outside of the barn before slamming the door. I swallowed harshly, glancing around to see everyone and their guns pointed at Aaron.

"We met him outside. He's by himself," Maggie informed the group quickly. "We took his weapons and we took his gear,"

I watched as Daryl patted down the unfamiliar man, making sure that he indeed did not have any weapons whatsoever. My eyes peered up, landing on Aaron's face to see nothing but fear.

"Hi..." Aaron swallowed nervously, his eyes glimpsing over everybody.

Suddenly, a loud cry rang from Judith, her body wiggling around in Rick's arms. I instantly took a step closer, my instincts kicking in to soothe my child.
