season 2, episode 11
(part 2)

tw: death

I was silently sitting between Maggie and Hershel on the living room couch as everyone began to gather around to discuss what to do with Randall. The door slammed closed as the final members of the group, Carl, Lori, and Rick, finally walked into the room.

Everyone sat (or stood) in silence while looking at a now dirty Carl who stood staring at his father, silently begging him to let him stay. Rick slowly shook his head at his boy while Lori motioned him to go upstairs and leave all the adults to discuss. Carl huffs loudly before stomping up the stairs, leaving everyone else in deafening silence once more.

My eyes looked away from the back of Rick's head as he began to turn towards the rest of the group. I slowly leaned forward, my elbows resting on my knees as I looked up at Dale who was leaning against the door frame.

Dale was staring down at the floor as he leaned against the frame. He was ticked off at everyone disagreeing with him. I truly felt for him, I did, but he wasn't there when Randall and his group of people shot at us— and what happened with Tony and Dave? I understood where he was coming from, he wanted to save the last bit of humanity left in this world— but I couldn't agree with him. I couldn't let Randall live.

"So... how do we do this? Just take a vote?" Glenn awkwardly asked everyone, my eyes slowly lowering to the ground.

"Does it have to be unanimous?" Andrea then questioned everyone. I let out a slow sigh and looked up from the patterned rug on the floor, everyone was tense.

"How about majority rules?" Lori slowly added as a suggestion, Rick groaned and waved his hands around.

"Well, Let's..." He let out a tired breath as he slowly walked towards the red sofa in front of us, he then placed his hands on the sofa and leaned his body on it. "Let's just see where everyone stands, then we can talk through the options."

"Well, the way I see it, there's only one way to move forward," Shane announced, I turned my head away from his direction to look over at an angered Dale.

"Killing him, right?" Dale snarked out, his head then slowly turning to peer over the rest of us. "I mean, why even bother to take a vote? It's clear which way the wind is blowing." He shook his head, Rick raising his hand to pause the man.
