[EDITING]
you took a polaroid of us,
then discovered,
the rest of the world was black and white,
but we were in screaming color,
and I remember thinking
are we out of the woods yet?

season 3, episode 9 (part 1)
I was sat on the ground, leaning against Shane's old car as Rick and Maggie went back to save Daryl. The woman with the samurai sword easily lead us to the car, watching both Glenn and I closely.
I had ended up wiping most of the leaking blood off my face with the bottom of my shirt. My hand continuously gripping my ribs as they ached with unbearable pain. Glenn was sat beside me, his feet kicking against the ground as we patiently waited.
My eyes glanced over towards Glenn, his bruised eye slowly beginning to swell. I then peered over our surroundings, noticing the sun beginning to rise.
Nothing but distant gunshots were heard, I gulped in fear, my hands gripping onto my jeans as I anxiously waited for Rick and Maggie to come back.
In my peripheral vision I noticed Glenn turn his head towards me, a soft cough coming from him as he tried to catch my attention. My head slowly turned towards the man, my eyes droopy as I stared at him.
"Nola, are you sure that he didn't—"
"I'm fine, Glenn." I interjected coldly, one hand rubbing my forehead as the pounding from it only got heavier. Glenn only continued to stare at me, his jaw clenching in anger.
"If he touched you, Rick has to know. He has to know who he's dealing with here." Glenn fought, his voice low as he didn't want the stranger to hear.
"Rick doesn't have to know anything." I muttered, leaning my head against the hard exterior of the car. Glenn let out a scoff, slightly sitting up from the vehicle to stare deeper in my eyes.
"He has to know. He cares about you, Nola." Glenn sighed sadly, I bit my bottom lip, forcing my eyes away from his as I felt familiar tears rise.
"He barely even touched me—" I gasped out, a sob forcing itself up my throat as I could vividly remember the man's body inappropriately pressing against mine, his humid breath against my neck. "It's so stupid— I'm so stupid, it wasn't even that bad."
Glenn quickly placed his arm around my shoulder as he noticed my crying figure, his body leaning against mine as I openly sobbed.
"Nola, he has to know." Glenn whispered knowingly, I stiffly nodded my head in defeat, wiping my tears from my bruised cheeks.
