(part 1)

RICK's POV

"You sure you don't wanna join?" I asked Lia carefully, she looked up from her mysterious book and smiled. I bit my bottom lip as I forced down my own grin as she softly laughed and placed her book down in jean clad lap.

It had been a week since we found Randall. Today was the day that Shane and I both decided we would drive him out and leave him, his leg injury was healed so it was time to send him off.

I could tell Lia was deeply uncomfortable with him being only a few feet away from her house due to the fact that he was still apart of Tony and Dave's group, if Tony did what he did to Lia, no doubt Randall is most likely the same. We didn't need that type of person here at the farm any longer.

"You really want me to go?" She laughed sweetly, and as soon as I hear her laugh my heart leaped, my palms soaking in sweat, my cheeks turning a shade of red.

There was no doubt that I found Lia attractive, she was a nice girl, she was always determined to keep her family safe which I admired. She was stunning in many ways, her soft jaw line, her bright toothy grins that could light up a dark room, her soft baby blue eyes, she was beautiful beyond her looks, and I hated that I was aware of it. I knew that finding her attractive wasn't good, I had a wife, a 12 year old kid, and a baby on the way. It wasn't a good time to have moments with Lia like this, but I craved it.

"I do, but it's up to you." I shrugged towards her, trying my best to hide my nerves. Lia furrowed her eyebrows and hummed as she thought to herself, her short black hair covering a side of her face as she leaned forward in her seat.

"Nah, I'm fine here. Don't wanna do something I'll regret.." She mumbled playfully, I rolled my eyes and shook my head with a smirk. Lia brought her hand to move her hair out of her pale face, her beautiful blue eyes are on mine and I could feel time stop as she looked up at me.

"Yeah, don't want you and Shane to get into it again." I joked, but a hint of seriousness in my voice as well. Lia sputtered out a laugh and picked her book up, holding it towards her face to read it. I slowly backed away from her and climbed down the porch steps, my head turning back towards the porch to see her already peeking at me.

"You be safe!" I yelled towards the enchanting woman, I quickly wave my hand and turn on my heel to walk towards Shane's car. My heart beating quick against my chest as I could feel her eyes watching my back.
