MYSTERY 📍

season 2, episode 13
(finale: part 2)

My eyes snapped open as I heard a car door slam, the car shaking as the action is done. I moved quickly, gripping my gun in my hand then swinging my own door open. As I go to walk I bump into a taller figure, I pause as I notice Rick being the body I had bumped into.

"Hey, hey, you should be resting—" Rick began, I shook my head, wiping my foggy eyes.

"No, I'm fine." I fought firmly, Rick only let out a sigh and nodded. The both of us walk towards the front of the car, looking around our surroundings to not see anyone else in sight.

My eyes slowly peered down towards my body, the blood covered white tank top being the only thing covering my upper body, I noticed my well bandaged shoulder, grateful that Hershel did his best at repairing my shoulder.

I slightly shivered as my body met the cold air, wind slightly blowing against my aching body. I harshly bite my bottom lip as I try not to let the cold get to me, knowing I'd hopefully find something else to wear. My head then perked up to search the highway, no other person in sight.

"Where's mom? You said she'd be here," Carl's voice yelled out, I glance up to see Carl stood with his hands on his hips, Rick glancing around aimlessly for his wife. "We gotta go back for her." Carl sighed, his father quickly shaking his head in disagreement.

"Carl..."

"No, why are we running? What are you doing? It is mom. We need to get her, and not be safe a mile away!" Carl shouted, Rick quickly hushed his son, crouching down to quietly speak to him. I appreciated the way Carl wanted to assure his mother was save, he was truly a momma's boy which I related to in some form.

"You need to be quiet, all right? Please." Rick whispered to his son, Carl shook his head and stared towards the ground.

"Please... It's mom." Carl whispered, Rick sighed and leaned towards Carl sadly, Carl shaking his head and pushing his father's hand away before running off towards another car.

I didn't bother going after Carl as I knew he would've asked for me if he truly needed my company, I watched Hershel take slow steps towards Rick. "You've gotta get your boy and Magnolia to safety. I'll wait here for my girls and the others." Hershel told Rick, "I know a few places. We'll meet up at one of them later." Hershel continued, the blue eyed ex-sheriff only shook his head with a light scoff. I didn't bother fighting against Hershel as he ordered Rick to keep Carl and I safe, I knew I had to take it easy due to the fact I'd been shot.
