Notes: Requested by the lovely ChrystalineHickson | It goes without saying that I don't think being fat is bad just like I don't think being scrawny is bad, but just like with any extreme, there are consequences to both sizes that can have a negative impact on your health. You alone are responsible for taking care of yourself, especially once you gain independence from your parents, so if you're at that stage, please take care of yourself cuz nobody else is gonna do it for you. Eat enough calories in the day, drink enough fluids, and if you're mentally saying 'nah, I'll do what I want' bc you think you're quirky, stop. You aren't cool to neglect your body's needs - I don't feel like I need to say that, but I'm also aware of how often y'all flex your lack of sleep so...don't worry your Mama, yeah?
Also, warning for sensitive subjects ahead: assault, eating disorder, manipulation, general toxicity - and Shattered makes it worse...what did you expect?

An unassuming house sat vacant, shadows creeping along its exterior wall from birds flying by or a stray housecat looking for a meal, and the night was still except for the wind creating an unnerving whistle as it wound its way through alleys and down gutters. Then, from out of the darkness beside the house walked a skeleton with a tentacle around the arm of a woman, who was already pulling away from him the second they were done teleporting.

"I understand you assume I owe you some great debt for lodging with you for the time being, but I am not your loyal servant, here to answer your beck and call at a moment's notice," the skeleton was hissing with feigned politeness.

"I'm sorry, Shattered. My plans changed." The woman pulled the sleeves of her hoodie further down her arms, jittery and jumpy at the shadows surrounding them, and headed around to the front of the house. She fished in her pocket for her keys to the front door, growing panicked when she didn't find them.

"I was in the middle of very important business, and to tear me away from it at such a time-"

"Where's my keys??" She turned back to the spot they teleported from, but the moonlight above them revealed no dropped keyring waiting on the sidewalk.

"Then you have the gall to interrupt me!" The tentacles on his back writhed with indignation, and she flinched back, holding herself as her eyes darted everywhere but him. "I daresay I was well within my rights to leave you stranded, (Y/n)." Her wide eyes snapped to him instantly, fear plain as day on her face as it drained of color, and that's when he spotted the only color that remained was around her eye. Blues, blacks, and purples spread across the lid and surrounding skin. She realized a moment too late that he saw it, and she tugged her hoodie hood down over her face so only her trembling lips were exposed by the light from the moon. "Where did you earn that 'shiner'?" A small smirk curved his teeth as he used a tentacle to tug on the edge of her hood, but she pulled it tighter around her face and turned away from him. "Is that why you requested my aid at such an inopportune time?"

"I must've left a window unlocked," she mumbled to herself, trying to ignore him as she walked around her house in search of an open window.

"You have been particular about the security of your home as of late." Shattered put his arms behind his back, back perfectly straight as he watched the hope drain from her with a barely disguised smirk. "I ensured everything was locked tight before I left to save you, per your request."
