Pairing: Error Sans x Monster! Female Reader
Prompt: Error somehow finds himself in prison, but since not even the anti-void could hold him for long, he plans to bust out so he can finish his mission. And to do that, he needs a little help from you.
Type: Speedrun escape from prison with the man-baby Destroyer of AUs?! (not clickbait) (gone wrong) (gone romantic...?)
Length: 9.3k words
Background:
Notes: I had to come up with a reason for Error of all people to end up in a prison that could hold him so I 'created' Prisontale (or stole the idea. No idea if that's an AU already) - and by 'created', I mean I did the bare minimum in establishing lore that will be used exclusively for this one-shot and never again. For that reason alone, you're a monster. Oh, and Frisk is an adult in this if it wasn't obvious by them having a very adult job lol. And in case you're curious, the prisoner number Error's assigned (34404) is meant to be his name (ERROR) spelled with numbers 🤭 | Requested by a lovely reader.

To say Error was pissed was the understatement of the century. He was livid, thrown behind rusty iron bars before he could fully realize just how deep the pile of shit he found himself in was, and now he was pacing his cell with steam blowing out of his ear holes while cussing up and down. They tried putting him in a cell with another inmate, but now that inmate was in the prison medical wing and they weren't sure he'd ever wake up.
A voice came on over the intercom announcing it was lunchtime and that all prisoners were to stand against the wall of their cell with their hands up while their doors opened. Error grit his teeth, tugging at the uncomfortable rags they called a prison jumpsuit - black and white was a terrible combination and he missed his clothes almost more than he was pissed.
"Prisoner #34404, stand against the wall of your cell, now," the intercom commanded in an aggressive tone, making him glare at where the speaker was lodged in the wall.
"Hurry up!" an inmate from the next cell shouted, shaking the bars of their cell. "I'm hungry!"
"Go to hell!" he spat, fingers tightening with expectation of using his strings, but they didn't appear.
The intercom crackled. "34404, do as I say or you'll find yourself in solitary. I'm only affording you another chance because the warden has a soft spot for you, but if you don't learn how things work around here, you're going to have a very rough stay." Error's jaw was clenched so hard he was at risk of cracking his teeth, but despite his annoyance, the risk of solitary pushed him to stand against the wall. The neverending white, the crippling anger, the fear, the unknown closing in on all sides...He shivered. He couldn't do that again.
"Aw, you get favoritism, do you?" the next cell piped up in a sneer. "Is your daddy rich? Does your mommy sleep with the warden, little boy?" The cell doors clicked then slid open, whereupon the speaker instructed the prisoners on what to do. They stepped out of their cells and formed a single file line on the small walkway waiting outside. Error peered over the guardrails to the cafeteria down at the bottom, then up at the 5 floors of prisoners talking rambunctiously. The top 2 floors were empty, and the bottom 3 - of which he was on the 3rd - had prisoners heading for the cafeteria. He could feel his haphephobia turn his senses to high alert, and the next second, the man in the cell next to him walked towards him.
The speaker sparked to life. "Prisoners are not to touch each other, and walk in an orderly fashion-"
"I heard you put my boy in the medical wing," the monster was a tiger, sharp teeth bared in a growl as his tail swung side to side. There was a Snowdrake behind him, egging him on with a goading chitter, and Error glared at the two of them.
"Don't talk to me, anomaly." It was a warning, but the monster didn't heed it as he took another step towards him. Error summoned his strings and threw them around the tiger's soul, only to freeze when, again, his strings didn't appear. In that moment of surprise, the tiger tackled him. The inmates surrounding them sprang to watch the fight and cheer it on, crowding around them while the corrections officers shoved them aside to stop it. Error glitched out, screeching like a TV blaring static, and the nearest prisoners slapped their hands over their ears.
