Kameryn's POV
I walked down the once familiar street. The air was cold but it didn't bother me. I couldn't feel it.
The moon shined bright, casting a steady glow on my path. The stars sparkled as the crisp wind blew around me.
The sbow crunched under my feet as I walked. I knew where I was headed and what I had to do. The thing is; I didn't want to do it.
As I reached the familiar building, I took a deep breath. I remembered everything about it. The stolen kisses in the room. The secret nights with soft moans and passionate kissing. The whispered 'I love you's' and 'Forever's'. I'd never get those back.
I walked in and went up to the room where we had stayed together. Where each secret night took place. Where many secrets and breakdowns had been shared.
He was there, asleep, soft snores falling from his lips. His eyes were red and puffy from crying. I felt bad for having put him in this state.
I sat on the edge of the bed and placed my hand on his shoulder. He shifted slightly and looked at me. He rubbed his eyes and stared at me for a monute before he spoke.
"Kameryn?" He asked. I smiled.
"Hey Shawn." I whispered. He sat up quickly and pulled me to him. I cuddled into his chest as he wrapped me up in his arms.
"God, Kameryn, I missed you so much. I am so sorry. I should've never done that. God, I missed you." He said. I smiled and pulled back.
"I know, Shawn." I said. He smiled lightly and kissed my cheek. I moved away from him slightly. "But I can't stay." I whispered.
"What? Why not?" He asked. I bit my lip. I'm not gonna tell him what really happened. I can't.
"This is a dream." I said. Shawn saddened slightly as he whispered a small 'Oh'. I wrapped an arm around his shoulders.
"Kameryn, I really am sorry. I shouldn't have cheated. I know it was wrong. I'm stupid. And I'm sorry." He said.
"Your not stupid. You just made a stupid mistake." I stated. Shawn chuckled softly at that. I kissed his cheek and moved my arm.
"Can you forgive me?" He asked. I knew I could. But I aldo knew that if I did, he'd never move on. Not unless I told him to.
"I can. But you have to do something for me." I said. Shawn nodded.
"Anything." He said. I smiled and stood up.
"Promise that you will move on. After this, you'll move on and find someone else." I said.
"I'll try." He whispered. I shook my head.
"No. You will." I whispered. Shawn nodded and sighed.
"I promise." He said. I smiled.
"Good. Now, go to sleep." I said. Shawn layed down and closed his eyes. I thought he was asleep so I started towards the door.
"Kameryn?" He whispered my name. I stopped and turned to face him. He opened his arms. "Stay with me tonight?" He asked. I sighed and went to the bed, laying next to him.
"I won't be here when you wake up." I warned. I felt him kiss the top of my head.
"I know." He said. And we layed in silence. It felt like merely seconds before I heard soft snores and I got up.
"Bye Shawn." I whispered. I kissed his forehead and walked towards the door. I opened and looked at Shawn one more time before leaving. I closed the door softly behind me and walked out of the building.
My body began to fade and my steps became lighter. I looked up and smiled. I began to lift off the ground and disappear into the clouds.
"Is it done?" Another angel-I believe his name was Jack- asked. I nodded sadly and sat on a cloud. Jack patted my shoulder sympathetically and walked away.
Shawn was forgiven and safe. He was hurting now but he'd get over it. He'd get over me. He was going to move on and be happy. And I was happy.
"I love you, Shawn." I whispered.
