James

I head to my last lesson of the day: Charms
I quite enjoy charms, it's always interesting, exciting, even. I also find it rather easy, not that I would ever admit that out loud, but I find Charms to be an easy lesson, so I never mind having it at the end of the day.
I walk into the classroom and take my seat, all of us waiting for Professor Flitwick to arrive.
"Did you hear Regulus Black is a Death Eater?" I hear one of the girls behind me say to her friend, causing me to prick my ears up.
"How did you find out?" Her friend asks
"My little sister is a Fourth Year, she said she saw it in her Transfiguration class" She replies
"I mean, I'm not surprised, Aubreigh, you know what that family is like" Aubriegh's friend states
"I know, I know, do you think Regulus' older brother has it too, Cove?" Asks Aubreigh
"I wouldn't be surprised, Sirius is the Black heir" Cove replies
I clench my fists in anger. They don't know a damn thing about Regulus and Sirius. I continue listening, deciding not to lash out yet.
"I don't see him here" Aubriegh points out
"He's probably doing some sort of Death Eater ritual with his brother" Cove replies
"What a bunch of weirdos" Aurbeigh states with a tone of disgust.
I have had enough. I whip around and stare them down, causing them to jump. "Do you have a problem with Sirius?" I ask. They both blanch and quickly shake their heads.
"No, we just, we heard Regulus became a Death Eater" Aubriegh replies defensively
"Yeah well I don't think it's any of your fucking business" I state
"I never took you to be one that sided with the dark side" Cove remarks
"I do not side with the Dark Side, I am, however, loyal to my best friend, who you know nothing about. So how about you keep your noses out of other people's business" I reply before turning around.
They huff indignantly, but Professor Flitwick walks in the room, quickly followed by an out of breath Sirius.
"Where have you been?" I whisper to Sirius
"Took a nap in my free while you had Muggle Studies, completely forgot about Charms" Sirius replies breathlessly.
"Good Afternoon, Class" Professor Flitwick announces, causing quiet to settle over the class.
"Today you shall be learning the summoning charm" Professor Flitwick announces "Does anyone know the incantation for the summoning charm?" Asks Professor Flitwick
I raise my hand "Yes, Mr Potter" Flitwick states
"Accio" I reply
"Excellent, five points to Gryffindor" Flitwick praises.
He shows us the wand movements and then allows for us to get in pairs and practice the summoning charm with a cushion. Naturally, I pair up with Sirius. "Sirius, we need to talk" I say as Sirius aims his wand at a pillow on the far side of the room and announces "Accio" as he does the correct wand movement and the pillow flies in his direction. Of course, he catches it with ease.
"If you're going to congratulate me for my excellent spell work I shall thank you in advance" Sirius replies with a shit eating grin. I roll my eyes and shake my head.
"No, it's about Regulus" I state
"You and Regulus? Or just Regulus?" He asks
"Just Regulus" I reply
"What about him?" Asks Sirius
"I heard two girls talking before you came in, the word is spreading around the school that he's a Death Eater" I reply.
Sirius pauses and blanches slightly "People know?" He asks. I nod.
"People know" I repeat, confirming his question.
"Shit" Sirius curse "James, I gotta go, just tell Flitwick is was a bathroom emergency or something, plus I'm awesome at charms, he won't mind" Sirius adds as he dashes off.
Flitwick quirks an eyebrow but doesn't question Sirius' sudden exit.
After my charms lesson I head up to Dumbledore's office. He promised he'd do his best to protect Regulus, surely he can do something about this.
"Lemon drops" I state at the entry way to Dumbledore's office, I remember the password from McGonnogall. The staircase appears and I ascend it, soon reaching the great oak doors that lead to Dumbledore's office.
I knock three times and wait patiently until Dumbledore says "Come in" and I push the doors open.
"Ah, James Potter, what can I do for you?" Asks Dumbledore, a pleasant smile on his face.
"Do you remember when I asked you to protect Regulus?" I ask
"Ah yes, Mr Black came and saw me, he told me of his mission to be a spy and told me he wishes to be a double agent. I was happy to allow that" Dumbledore replies
"He did?" I ask
"He did" Dumbledore confirms
"Well, that's great. The thing is, people have noticed the mark on his arm and it's becoming known he's a Death Eater" I explain
"I see"
"I was wondering if you could stop that?"
"Stop people talking?"
"At least maybe find something that could divert their attention"
"I'm sorry, Mr Potter, but I cannot stop gossip, people will talk about what they see"
I sigh and rake a hand through my hair, feeling rather defeated at Dumbledore's pitiful response. After a while I simply nod "right well, thanks anyway, Professor" I say. h
He nods at me "I'm sorry I couldn't be of more assistance" Dumbledore offers, I simply give him a weak smile and a small nod before I turn and leave his office. Well, that was a waste of time.
On my way back to Gryffindor Tower I see Regulus. He looks solemn. My heart tugs in my chest. I hate seeing him like this. Regulus catches me and his face lights up momentarily before he starts to approach me.
"James" he says
"Regulus" I reply
"I spoke to Dumbledore" He states
"I know" I reply
"You do?"
"I just spoke to him myself"
"Oh?"
"It's nothing"
"Right, well, Dumbledore told me what you asked him to do"
I feel my cheeks redden, I was hoping Dumbledore would take my request on board and just do it rather than tell Regulus
"Are you....are you mad at me?" I finally ask
"Mad? No, no not at all" Regulus replies
"Oh...okay then"
"I thought it was sweet of you"
"It was nothing really"
"No, James, it was everything. You are- you make it really hard not to love you, you know that?"
"It's just in my nature I suppose"
"I just- thank you"
Regulus leans in and pecks me on the lips. I feel a tug in my navel, a lust for more, but I restrain myself. I have a girlfriend now.
"Regulus, I do love you, but last night I made it official with Lily, we can't have stolen kisses anymore, as much as I wish we could, I won't do that to her" I preface.
Regulus bows his head and nods "Yes, no I'm sorry that was- that was foolish of me. I just- after last night I- I forget myself a bit" Regulus stutters
"About that, Lily quite enjoyed that, so erm, maybe we could do that again sometime?" I ask
"Well, as long as Arlo and I still have no commitments to one another" Regulus replies and I nod.
"Right, well, best get back then" I state, Regulus nods and we part ways, walking in separate directions. "Oh, Regulus" I say, he turns and looks at me "did Sirius find you?" I ask, he nods "Alright, see you then" I state, he nods again and we continue walking our separate ways.
When I get back to the common room, Lily is sat on a windowsill, reading a book. I smile and walk up to her.
"There's my favourite girl" I say cheerfully as I plant a kiss on her forehead. She closes her book and smiles up at me before cupping my face in her hands and kissing me.
I smile against her lips and pull back to look at her. "Hey" Lily says, a smile on her fade
"Hey" I reply, still smiling.
"How was your day?" Asks Lily
"Good, how was yours, my love?" I ask
Lily catches her bottom lip between her teeth as I say the pet name and her grin grows wider "Better now you're here" Lily replies.
I smirk and swivel her around so she's facing me and I sandwich myself between her lips. "Is that so?" I ask. She looks up at me and nods, her teeth still gnawing at her bottom lip as she gives me a once over.
Fuck.
The way she looks at me does some things to me. I run my hands up and down her arms as she places her hands on my hips. Her hand placement causes a familiar tingly sensation to spread through my navel. I hold her chin with my fingers and lean down so my face is close to hers, close enough for a kiss, but I don't kiss her yet.
"Tease" she mutters as she closes the space
"Get a room!" Sirius exclaims, throwing a pillow at my head.
I swivel around to face Sirius, a grin spreading across my face.
"You know what, Pads, that is a genius idea, I think we will" I reply. I then turn my attention back to Lily. Place her book down beside her before I pick her up and sling her over my shoulder, causing her to squeal and flail her arms "James!" She exclaims through a laugh.
"Sirius you are such a bad influence!" Lily exclaims as I dutifully walk the both of us over to the staircase leading to our dorm room.
"Sorry, Lils, I just like to have entertainment in my life...have fun!" Sirius replies, the last part he said in a sing song voice making me chuckle.
I carry Lily up to my dorm room, lock the door and carefully place her on the bed before I sandwich myself back between her legs again. I lean over her and capture her in a kiss.
"You are a menace" Lily states with a smile
"Oh really?" I ask, quirking an eyebrow
"You threw me over your shoulder!" She exclaims
"I thought it was a very effective mode of transport" I reply defensively. Lily shakes her head and rolls her eyes at me
"Don't pretend you didn't like it" I add with a grin
"Shut up"
"Make me"
Lily does, in fact, make me, as she grabs my face and kisses me, hard.
The mood shifts and I'm now lowering myself onto her as I deepen the kiss. My hips lightly grind against hers and she lift her hips up to meet mine in response.
"James" she says. I stop and look at her
"Yes, baby" I reply
"I love you" Lily says, once again biting her bottom lip
"I love you too" I reply and she grins at me "and if you continue to bite your lip like that I might have to skip the foreplay and take you here and now" I add
"Oh really?" Lily asks, offering me a shit eating grin before she takes her bottom lip between her teeth for the third time today. In response I let out a deep, throaty groan and smother my head in the crevice between her neck and her collar bone.
I then take this opportunity to nibble on her ear lobe, causing her to gasp.
I grind my hips into hers as I give her a hickey on her collarbone. She rakes her nails down my back as I do so and I grin.
I then pull up and place a kiss atop her head "sorry, love, I have stuff to do" I say
"Oh my god! James! You are such a tease!" Lily exclaims.
"You started the teasing" I reply with a shrug.
She pulls me back in for another kiss
"On second thoughts, my schedule is completely free, I'm all yours" I state, immediately folding
"That's what I thought" she grins
