Vanessa's POV

"Munchkin. Munchkin wake up."

"Ugh fine."

"You're meeting my parents first."

"Hm, okay."

"By the way we have a plane to catch. But don't rush."

"Okay I'm ready."

"Good." Camila says taking my hand. "Have you been on a plane before.?"

"No."

"They're fun, really, we have first class. The highest you can get." Camila says.

"Oh. Sounds cool." I say. When we get on the plane, I realize she wasn't kidding. "This is cool Mila."

"See I told you it'd be cool." Camila says. "See look we're landing."

"How long are we staying here.?" I ask her.

"Just today. Unless you want to stay longer." Camila says.

"Hm."

"You've seen pictures of my little sister Sofìa right.?" Camila says as we go in their house.

"Yeah I have."

"My parents speak Spanish too." Camila says.

"I would think so." I say with a laugh.

"Mama.! We're here.!" Camila says. Her mom comes in the room.

"Hello." Her mom says.

"Hi."

"¿Ella habla español.? (She speak Spanish.?)" Camila's Mom asks apparently not being able to tell.

"Sí. (Yes.)" Camila replies.

"¿Cúal es tu nombre.? (What's your name.?)" Camila's Mom asks.

"Vanessa."

"Oh. Nice name. Mine's Sinu." She replies.

"There's my little sister." Camila says pointing to the kid next to her mom.

"She's cute."

"Like you, right." Camila says sitting down. "Papa, this the kid I was telling you about."

"Oh. Hello. I'm Alejandro. "He replies.

"Hi."

"That ice cream truck still comes by here.?" Camila asks.

"Yeah it does." Both of her parents say.

"Want some ice cream munchkin.?" Camila asks.

"Sure why not."

"If you don't mind, we're getting ice cream." Camila says.

"Okay."

"Why'd that sound so sarcastic.?" Vanessa chuckles.

"Right.! I thought so too, I thought it was just me." Camila chuckles also. They're talking, so Vanessa and Camila stop at the door outside.

"Did Camila adopt that kid.?" Sinu asks.

"I don't know. I hope not." Alejandro says.

"Why.? I think it's a good change."

"Because, that kid will be tagging along with everything, messing it up."

"The kid's 15.!" Her mom says.

"Are you sure.? She doesn't look 15." Her dad says.

"I have a name by the way."
