Normani is sitting on her bed, watching Snapchats, before Vanessa's pops up. Normani smiles, tapping the load button and viewing her Snapchat.

But she shouldn't have.

"Aye, add ya boy on Snap," The boy says, reciting his Snapchat name.

She presses her eyes, holding back the tears of jealousy threatening to escape.
[Jason Derulo:]

We got a love that is hopeless

She looks through her pictures, before she sees a screenshot of her and Vanessa's old text messages. The contact name on the screenshot is set to "My Future 🤘🏾💞"

I love you baby girl!
-I love you too!
I really believe that I love you more.
-I think I love you more.
Ahh 🙈😍
I can't wait until you're all mine.
-I can't either.
-But, you can't rush good things.
That's true 😕
It'll be us against the world. 💗
-That it will. 🤘🏾

Normani breaks down in tears, sending the screenshot to Vanessa.

Memories of us....
-That was a good day. ☺️

What happened to us?
-What do you mean?
....We used to talk a lot and say we loved each other every possible chance.
Now if I say I love you, you just send me an emoji or leave me on seen.
-I'm sorry Mani.
-I just didn't think anything of it.
I feel like you're brushing me off your shoulder.
...Is this the way you're gonna act when we get together?
-You still think we're getting together, don't you?
Yes, I do.
That's the only hope I can hold on to.
Please don't take that away from me.

-But when we do, no one can know.

But Vanessa just telling her that they'd always be together wasn't enough for her. She needed some sort of confirmation.

Vanessa has stopped replying to Normani's texts.

I'm sorry if I'm interrupting anything...but I just wanna talk to you....face to face.

Vanessa replies to that one instantly.

-Sorry for leaving you on delivered Mani.
-I was in Math and we had a sub today. I was doing some work that I had trouble with and I finally got it.

Normani smiles at the fact Vanessa was trying, but a stray tear falls out of her eyes.

I'm happy for you.
-Thanks. ☺️
-Is everything okay?
Yeah...it'll be okay...
-Do I need to leave early?
No...you don't have to...
I don't want you to miss anything.
I can wait 20 minutes
-Are you sure?
Yeah
-Okay, well I'll see you soon.
