Vanessa wakes up during the night, her movements waking Normani.
"What's the matter.?" Normani asks.
"I'm hot." Vanessa says, on the verge of crying.
"Aw, don't cry." Normani gushes, hearing it in her voice. "I'll get you something cooler, okay.?" Vanessa nods, so Normani starts to get up, but she is pulled back down. So, Normani picks her up, and shuffles over to find the light. "I'm going to cut the light on, okay.?" Vanessa nods, hiding in the crook of Normani's neck. Normani suddenly hears her sniffling faintly. "Shh. You're okay." Normani coos sympathetically, rocking her with one arm and looking through her closet for shorts. "Do you have a sports bra or something to wear.?" Vanessa shakes her head. Normani takes a rough estimate of what size she is, and puts her down for her to go in the bathroom. "Go change, and I'll wash your pajamas tomorrow, okay.?" Vanessa nods and sniffles, going into the bathroom. "My poor baby." Normani pouts some.
"What's wrong.?" Mama Drea asks, seeing the light on.
"She's really scared." Normani sighs.
"Aww, poor thing." Mama Drea gushes. "Do I need to do anything, or.?"
"No, I've got it." Normani shakes her head confidently.
"Okay." Her mom says, walking off. Vanessa comes out of the bathroom, still not looking the best.
"Why you so sad babygirl.?" Normani questions. Vanessa doesn't say anything, before crying again. Normani picks her up, repeating the same thing she just did. "You wanna cuddle.?"
"I'll be hot again..." Vanessa trails off, a stray tear falling.
"No you won't. It's okay." Normani says softly, picking up a fan out of her closet, putting Vanessa down, plugging in the fan, and cutting off the light. "1, 2 or 3.?"
"2.." Vanessa manages.
"Mmkay." Normani simply says, turning on the fan and getting in front of her. "C'mere."
"Can you sing a song.?" Vanessa asks weakly.
"Mhm." Normani hums, kissing her cheek, before starting.
