A/N Don't be scared to give your input! If you're reading this rn, comment what country you're from (or the country you live in), I'm curious and I want to get to know people! In case you haven't noticed, I'm a huge N girl. She's so cute and fluffy, and I don't understand why anyone would ever want to harm her. Long story short, you'll see a lot of Normani in this story, mainly fluff. Sorry about any errors. Enjoy.! 😊

"I think you were trying to talk to me?" Normani asks, opening her door.

"Oh, yeah."

"MAKE SURE THERE ISN'T MORE THAN TALKING GOING ON NORMANI." Ally and Dinah's Moms say.

"Yeah Lauren." Becky says.

"OKAY." Normani laughs.

No One's POV

"Can talking be nonverbal?" Normani smirks.

"I feel like you're trying to get over on me."

"Maybe I am, maybe I'm not." Normani giggles, walking closer. She sees Vanessa move back every step she takes. "What's the matter?"

"Nothing."

Vanessa sits on Normani's bed, but when Normani offers a comforting hand, Vanessa flinches. This leaves Normani extremely baffled, so she tries again. "What's the matter?"

"Nothing..." Vanessa backs up and puts her knees to her chest.

Normani pouts. "Baby girl, please don't cry."

"Why."

"It makes me sad that I can't do anything--"

"Kill her."

This makes Normani laugh. "Well, I might be able to do that."

"You'd think," Vanessa chuckles, releasing her position and sitting up straight, moving over.

"There we go." Normani smiles, pecking her lips in appreciation. Normani sits on the bed, crossing her legs in front of Vanessa. "Really, what's wrong.?"

"She's taken over my life for so long, that she found her way back into my mind."

"It's gonna be okay princess, I promise."

Vanessa starts crying, so Normani moves behind her and pulls Vanessa into her chest. "When Mani.? I just want them to go away."

"I know I know, me too," Normani sighs. "We all thought they would stop when we adopted you, but if anything, they started fighting harder."

They talk for some time, before taking a short nap. When Vanessa wakes up, she hears heavy breathing under the covers. "Mani."

"Yes.?"

"Are you crying.?"

"No, why would I need to cry.?" Normani lies, discreetly sniffling.

"I don't know, just asking." Vanessa shrugs.

Normani's breathing suddenly becomes more ragged, and her crying intensifies. Vanessa snuggles into Normani's chest, and her crying decreases to whimpers. "I'm sorry."

"It's okay."

"I didn't mean to wake you."

"You didn't."

That's when Normani realizes that Vanessa is snuggled into her. "I guess someone's comfy," Normani giggles.

This makes Vanessa move back, so she can look at Normani. "I honestly did it to make you feel better."
