HIS POV

SATURDAY

I observed the hair tie on my wrist

"do you feel sore or in any pain in any part of your body?" the psychotherapist asked me

"no"

I didn't mean to come off as rude but I was just upset over the fact that he had to run the check-up instead of Olivia

I'd much rather prefer for my beautiful girlfriend to be here with me right now than some 40 year old man

"I'm gonna check your vitals now so please sit up straight"

I corrected my posture at his words

My eyes shifted to the doors of the room we were in

To my surprise they opened, immediately lightening up my mood at the thought of Olivia walking in

But instead of her Kai entered

"are you done with your check-up?" he asked while he was advancing closer

"he is and everything seems fine so he's good to go" the psychotherapist spoke up

"great, then let's get you properly warmed up" Kai said as he gestured for me to get up

I stood up from the bed and got by Kai's side

"what's with the long face?" he asked as we started walking

"nothing"

My eyes began searching for Olivia once I left the room but I couldn't find her anywhere

My eyes then focused back on the path before me and I noticed a brown haired girl standing just inches away from me

"hi" she greeted with a smile

She was probably as tall as Olivia because I had to look down in order to make eye contact with her

She seemed around my age

"I'm Mia"

I just stared at her extended hand

Once she noticed I wasn't willing to shake it she awkwardly put it back to her side before continuing

"I started training two weeks ago and you seem pretty good so I was wondering if you could give me some pointers after your match to help me improve"

"you have gym coaches for that" I told her

"I know but I'd be more comfortable training with someone my age"

My eyes wondered to the people behind her and once I caught a glimpse of dark brown curly hair a smile spread across my face

The girl continued with her yapping but her voice was long blocked from my head

I didn't spare her another glance or any parting word as I walked past her and to Olivia

Her back was facing me so it was the perfect opportunity for me to wrap my arm around her waist when I got close enough
