THURSDAY

"this stuff is pretty expensive" Lia said from behind my shoulder

"if I'm going to buy him something I'd rather it's good quality so they can serve him for a longer period" I replied

I took another look at the white boxing gloves with little gold decorations around the wrist area

I've noticed that the gloves Ares was using were pretty worn out so I decided to get him a new pair as his birthday present

I took Ruth's comment that 'white is more his colour' in consideration

A younger woman suddenly appeared next to me, a polite smile on her face

"can I help you with anything miss?" she asked

"yes, could you ring and wrap these up for me please" I said as I pointed to the white gloves

"of course"

While she was doing so I went back to Lia's side, speaking up once her attention was on me

"where are we going next?"

"you know where to" she grinned

"yeah but which store specifically"

"I know just the one"

"are you a regular?"

"duh, I probably have more pairs of underwear than I do of my shirts"

Lia was here for one purpose only-to help me with my second present

The first one was already taken care of, I only needed to pay for it

"I'll go pay for the gloves and then we can leave" I told her

"okay"

We still had around 2 hours left

We were all meeting at Ares's place at 2pm to celebrate his birthday

After the boxing gloves were paid for me and Lia left the store and headed to another one in the city mall

My eyes shifted to the big sign 'victoria's secret' before I stepped inside the store

Lia immediately led me to one of the sections that sold black, white and red underwear sets

"choose your pick" she told me, referring to the variety of the choices

My heart began beating faster after looking at all of them

Just the thought of wearing one of them in front of Ares brought great embarrassment to me

I had everything planned already, the only thing left for me to get was something nicer than my other underwear

I knew white would look too pale on me so I remained deciding between red and black

"red would suit you perfectly" Lia said after taking one of the red sets in her hands

"yeah but which one?"
