Chapter 11

HER POV

FRIDAY

"toothpaste?" Liam asked me

"I got it"

"Lia?" he asked, turning to her

"I packed it"

He looked back down to his phone, a list of things we need for our school trip displaying on the screen

"you both took the pill so you won't get sick on the way there?" he asked

"we did" me and Lia said at the same time

"okay, I got a portable charger and a power bank for Lia's phone and an extra bed pillow for Liv"

I knew I forgot something

I always like to sleep with two pillows and the places where we usually stay at with school, only have one per bed

"I don't need the charger my phone's fully charged" Lia said

Liam just gave her the knowing look

She checked her phone but stayed silent

"it's about to die isn't it?" Liam asked

"no, it still got 8%"

Liam just smiled in victory at her words

"can we now finally go on the bus?" I asked

We've been standing outside of it for the past 10 minutes

Liam insisted that we check to see if we got everything before entering it

"yeah, I'll take care of the luggage so you two go ahead" he said

We didn't need to be told twice as we left his side

Thankfully the bus wasn't that crowded yet since it was still an early hour so we managed to get nice seats

Soon after Liam joined us, sitting down beside Lia

While they were getting comfortable, I decided to check my phone

I saw that I had a new message from my mom

After what happened two days ago, I haven't talked to them much

When I got back from the lake where Ares kept me company, I noticed that they were already in bed

I spent thursday morning in school and the rest of the day studying in the library

So in other words, we haven't seen each other for more than 5 minutes in the past 2 days

MOM: "we're going back overseas this evening, I left some money for groceries on the kitchen counter"

Of course they are

But I'm not surprised, I expected this from the very start

I brought my phone closer and began typing

"next time don't even bother coming back"

I stared at the words for a moment

I deleted them short after, not replying with anything as I put my phone away

"can you move" Lia suddenly hissed

"you move, your fat ass is taking up all the space" Liam said back

I turned back to them

The chairs weren't even that small so they were clearly exaggerating

"Lia just come sit beside me. I won't be listening to all your bickering for the whole ride" I said, drawing their attention to me
