History:
Audrey is Pete and Chuck's mom. She is a single mom and has to take care of them both. She is a much more cautious mom as she says Pete should rest when he gets hurt instead of going fishing with his dad. Audrey also likes to help others as she signs her and her kids up to be organ donors so that they can save lives, should anything happen to them.

History:
Bill is Pete and Chuck's father. Their parents are divorced so their dad isn't around much. But after hearing Pete got into an accident, he comes to visit him and even takes him fishing. Pete doesn't like that his father isn't around. At the end of the book when Pete dies, he goes to the house to help clean out Pete's room, and may even move in to help Audrey and Chuck out.

History:
Maria has a very generic name...anyway, Maria is Pete's crush who goes to school with him. Maria is a nice girl and she also likes to pull pranks. Near the end of the story at the pirate themed school event, she tries to get Pete to put his arm into a bowl that will close around his arm mimicking a mouth that captures him. Pete gets mad at this and runs away, which confuses Maria.
