Short Bio:

The Blackbird is a costume made for Sam and Nole's film project where it'll be a horror film where an animatronic blackbird is the villain. The Blackbird has a bunch of black feathers and small glowing eyes, it is supposed to be really tall which is why Nole suggests Sam should dress up as it. In their film, the Blackbird is meant to make people confess their crimes, which is also what it does in the story. In reality, the blackbird was never real and was all in Nole's mind, but the situation with Sam made him feel guilty, cause he thought he was dead and he realized Sam had a right to be upset with him.

In Blackbird, Nole and Sam have to make a film for their film class. They decide to make a horror film about an animatronic. They create the blackbird for this film. The premise is that the bird makes people confess their wrongdoings. Nole confesses he bullied someone in middle school and Sam gets upset about it. After this interaction, Sam takes the blackbird costume he made back home, but later that night, it is said Sam might've been hit by a train. When Nole gets to the scene of the crime, black feathers from the blackbird costume Sam had was there, along with a smear of blood. Later on, the blackbird keeps stalking him. He begins to theorize it's Sam as some ghost wearing the costume. Similar to Ella and Ballora, the Blackbird follows Nole everywhere he goes and won't leave him alone. The goal of the Blackbird is to get stalk people who have done wrongs, and Nole eventually realizes he has to right his wrongs. So he tracks down the girl he bullied in middle school, goes to her college and apologizes to her. After this, the blackbird is gone and Sam returns, turns out he wasn't hit, he nearly dodged the train but got injured.
