History:

History:
Jeannie is Patricia's best friend. She helps Patricia out after the death of Susie. Jeannie likes to make outfits, she would make scarfs for the tree Susie liked, and she also made Susie's purple dress. Patricia blames herself for Susie's death, for encouraging her to be creative, imaginative, and trustworthy, which she believes is why she was so easy to lure. Jeannie says not to blame herself as there's nothing she could've done, and she reminds her not all the kids that were taken acted like Susie.

History:
Ironically, the epilogue after this introduces us to anDREW. But they are unrelated to each other. Drew is a boy in Samantha's class, who she has a crush on. He hangs out with other kids who are all mean to Samantha, and he tells them not to be mean. At one point, Drew goes up to Samantha, and Susie, as a spirit, encourages her to talk to him. Drew suggests Susie may still be around, but as a ghost. He's the one who puts the idea in Samantha's head and makes her wonder if Susie is in fact still around.

History:
Rhonda is Samantha's therapist. Whenever Samantha comes to therapy, she doesn't talk. Patricia thinks it isn't working so she thinks about taking her somewhere else. When Rhonda mentions this, Samantha gets worried and finally opens up to her about how she's been thinking about Susie, and their doll, Gretchen.
