Patricia is Susie's mother. She is a single mom. Susie says that her mom used to always look nice, and wear makeup and do her hair nicely. But ever since Susie's death, she always looks tired.

Patricia appears in Coming Home, the 3rd story. In this story, she is mourning the loss of her daughter who was murdered. She first appears when she enters Susie's room after Samantha and Susie had a "fight," but the fight never happened. Patricia comes in and cries because Susie is gone, but Susie doesn't know she's a spirit. In the book, her friend, Jeannie is always coming over to help Patricia out, now that she's divorced from her husband. Patricia and Jeannie talk about Susie, and how creative and imaginative she was. Patricia blames herself for Susie's kidnapping. She says she never liked Freddy's, as she found it creepy, but Susie loved it, and she thinks because she encouraged Susie to be trustworthy, that she was able to get lured by a mascot. Patricia is asleep for the rest of the book as Samantha continues her story.
