-He is dreaming about UCN, and we play as him in that game.

Difference from Games:

-None

Novel-Connections:

-William is described to be basically a skeleton here, which is what he somewhat look likes in The Fourth Closet.

Difference from Novels:

-William is functioning properly in The Fourth Closet. This could either be because Andrew doesn't exist in the novels, OR because this William went through a fire whereas the novel William did.

Short Bio:

William Afton is a patient at Heracles Hospital. The nurses don't know what he went through but they all believe he is infected with pure evil. He is described to be a rotting corpse and basically a skeleton yet he is still alive. The reason he is alive is because a spirit is keeping him from dying. When William was about to die, Andrew stopped him and kept him alive as he thought of a punishment worst than death, that being trapped in a nightmare until Andrew was ready to go. William Afton's soul is also infecting some objects throughout the books, along with Andrew's spirit.

Fazbear Frights #1:

William Afton technically doesn't appear, but the SpringBonnie from this book is a manifestation of him. It is believed William created Eleanor and left her in a dumpster. The creation, maybe, but it's unlikely he left her there as To Be Beautiful takes place during modern times, meaning William is either in Springtrap, Scraptrap, in the hospital, or infecting items.

Fazbear Frights #2:

William's soul is in Fetch and is making him aggressive, this combined with Andrew's hate makes him even more aggressive.

Fazbear Frights #3:

Some believe Mary from 1:35AM may have been his wife. People also think William is the one who hired Stanely.

Fazbear Frights #4:

William is mentioned in Coming Home. He is also mentioned in the epilogue. Andrew says someone hurt him and so he decided to make him suffer. Jake mentions that he thinks someone else is in the suit they're trapped in with them. Andrew thinks it's a stupid idea but Jake turns out to be right later.

Fazbear Frights #5:

William appears in the 3rd story as the title character. William is being kept in room 1280, and all the nurses think he's evil. When Father Blythe meets him, he decides that he wants to help him. He asks William what he wants and William spells out with his finger, "Fazbear Entertainment Distribution Center," well, in reality he spelled some unknown nonsense but they are able to decode what he's saying. Later, the nurses all decide they need to rid the hospital of evil, and so they each try to kill William, but fail as Andrew keeps stopping them, like he said he did in the previous epilogue. Near the end, Father Blythe manages to convince the nurses to let him take him to where he wants to go. So he takes William to the FE Distribution Center and there, William disintegrates, leaving Father Blythe confused.
