Short Bio:
Reed is the protagonist of The Breaking Wheel. He is in a robotics class and he's not very good at programming. He doesn't have much personality other than being a generic high school boy. He says he doesn't feel at home with his own family and prefers to hangout with the Girard family. Reed has the same general design in the illustration and the graphic novel.

Reed appears in the second story. He was originally on the cover for this book but it was apparently said to be too graphic so it was changed to The Cliffs. Reed is an a robotics class and his friend, Dilbert, usually gets bullied by this guy named Julius. Reed does not like him. One day, Julius trips Dilbert and his nose bleeds when he hits the table. Reed confronts him about this and gets mad at him and says that Dilbert is better than him at robotics. To show him he's wrong, Julius puts on the suit and shows him what he can do, but he accidentally traps himself in it. Reed, wanting revenge, decides not to help him, leaving Julius stuck in there. There will be no teachers or students present at school in the coming days, so no one can help him. Later on, Reed wonders if he was too harsh. Earlier in the book, it was said that due to a programming error, when Dilbert's robot moves, it also moves Julius' exoskeleton suit. Dilbert lets his little brother play with the robot control and moves it around. Reed then realizes Julius may be in trouble. He tries to tell himself he's overthinking, but he still wonders about it. At one point, the Girard's all go to the store. So Reed investigates around the house thinking he heard something. Then he sees Julius standing outside and he breaks in, he is now a mangled mess and wants revenge on Reed. He succeeds.
