History:
Janice is Cade's mom. She is...kind of odd. She talks about Cade's past with Lally as if it was normal and doesn't elaborate further when she says Cade was terrified when Lally went missing. She also tells Selena that a boy named Daniel got into an accident after trying to play with Cade and Lally, and unlike Selena, she doesn't make a connection. At the end of the book, she does not question where Selena went and is fine with Cade getting a new wife.

History:
Selena's parents show up at Selena and Cade's wedding. Selena's mom congratulates her and her dad gives her some sort of advice, which sticks with Selena the whole book. Things her family said at her wedding stuck with her the whole book. David is Selena's brother.

History:
Daniel is a boy from Cade's childhood. One day, he visited the Pizzaplex and tried to play with Cade and Lally, but Cade got angry at him and tried to keep Lally to himself. Janice reveals to Selena that Daniel got into an accident not long after. Selena assumes Cade killed him but Cade says it was Lally. It seems Daniel was killed the same reason Selena was, because Lally keeps Cade to himself.

History:
Debbie is Cade's new wife at the end of the story. She and Cade get engaged after Selena's death and the story seems to reset. There may have even been a girl before Selena too. She too asks about the mysterious chest.
