After being treated by Lacey, Dennis was carried to rest on his bed. Avin awoke sometime later with a massive headache. Blaire returned home and had been informed of the situation.
Silas and Tracey still remained there arguing. Lacey largely ignored the two, focusing on her son's treatment.
''... how the fuck was I supposed to know?! You're still going on and on, looking for someone to blame!'' Tracey yells, although her voice was now strained.
''You and Lacey both knew the consequences yet you were okay with it!'' Silas snaps, his veins bulging.
Lacey had enough. She whipped around and charged towards the two. ''Get out! Get the fuck out, the both of you! Dennis needs to rest!''
The two were about to argue back, but hearing that last part made them simmer down. They glared and frowned before Silas reluctantly stepped out.
Tracey didn't follow, instead wheeling herself over to the side of Avin's bed. Her brother was holding his head in his hands. ''What happened?''
''I.. don't know..'' he croaks, his brain pulsing. ''Dennis started yelling at me, and I was trying to calm him down, but some of the stuff he said really got to me.. and then.. I just don't remember.''
''Why?'' She questions, trying to press further.
Avin covers his eyes. The light in the room was aggravating his headache. ''It's blacked out... I went into a rage.. I didn't feel like myself at all, Tracey. I would never do something like that.''
Tracey doesn't say anything, pursing her lips. Lacey and Blaire shares in her silence, the realization hanging in the air around them.
It must be the souls inside him.

OCTOBER
With autumn in full-swing, Homecoming became the next big project for the student council. Unfortunately for Jace, as vice-president, he has had to go along with Rayne's decisions regarding the freshman arrangements.
He challenges her choices any time he gets, but it doesn't seem to faze her at all! In fact, she always has something snarky to say in return. Then it goes back and forth until he doesn't have anything to say. The perfect comebacks only come to him hours later in the shower.
He didn't understand her at all! How is she so nonchalant?!
He hates Rayne. She only got the position because she's pretty, talkative, and he hated to admit it, but smart.
That doesn't mean that she's better than him! He should've been president instead!
As Jace grumbles in his head about how terrible Rayne is, the girl diligently searched through a box of decorations. She picked out some balloons to hang up, having to step onto her tippy toes to do so.
The prince laughed obnoxiously at her attempts to reach. Rayne whipped around to face him with a glare. ''What's your problem?''
''Nothing, nothing...'' he chuckled. ''I just find the struggles of short people amusing.''
''You're so annoying.'' She sighed, settling down onto her feet flatly. Her attention averted over to the upperclassmen, who were currently using the ladder. ''I need the ladder, but alas...''
