S2 Chapter 18

S2 Chapter 18 - ''This ends now''

Bridget Martin

My eyes fluttered open immediately setting on the man in front of me who was awake looking at me. He had his arm wrapped around me the skin on skin contact feeling great.

''I love you.'' I blurted out of nowhere staring into his green orbs. ''I'm happy that you're the one I lost it to. Last night was amazing. Painful.. but amazing.''

''I love you too.'' Nate smiled. ''You know..'' He rubbed up and down my arm. ''I'm hoping that one day we can be more than just this. Boyfriend and girlfriend.''

I smiled back like an idiot at his words blushing slightly. ''I can't wait for that day to come.''

His whole face brightened at my response but he turned over to check his phone starting to get up. ''We have to get going. Today's the day.''

''Right.'' I said sitting up and pushing myself off of the bed.

Logan Martin

I was talking to one of the workers noticing from the corner of my eye Nate and Bridget walking in.

''Alright, everyone is here.'' I spoke up to announce, raising my hand as a signal for the backup to start heading out.

Alizia walked up next to me. ''Star and Lacey are still in medical. Thought I'd let you know.''

''That's understandable.'' I responded sounding stressed.

Aria was next to me placing a hand on my shoulder. ''Aye bud, you can do this.''

I nodded towards her before gathering the group and following the backup out setting our sights on the Dark Kingdom.

It was a long walk there but once we arrived Aria stood in front of everyone using her fire powers to blast the entrance open destroying it. Nate canceled out the remaining fire by spraying water on them out of his hand.

''Are you all ready?'' Aria turned around asking. She seemed to be tensing up considering that this is the Dark Kingdom and darkness is her weakness.

''Yes. Let's do this.'' Alizia answered.

I nodded my head in agreement the five of us charging in while the backup waited outside in case of emergency. 

The inside of the Kingdom was almost pitch black you could hardly see anything. There was also a lot of corridors and turning points. It was sort of like an endless maze. But add that you're blindfolded.

''Let's split up into groups of two. Alizia be on standby. That way we can search faster.'' I suggested.

''Me and Logan, Nate and Bridget, and Alizia stick around here. Come on then.'' Aria said starting to run ahead into one of the paths. 

I ran after her stopping in my tracks once I saw a binding light in front of me before being blown back by it the familiar sound of an explosion ringing through my ears.

I glanced over seeing Aria also on the ground and hearing footsteps heading towards us along with a dark laugh. ''Well look who decided to show up.''

Even hearing her voice made my blood boil as I quickly got up and formed a light ball in my hand going at her and throwing it. Aria cut in by making the ground underneath Sci-fi taller to throw her off balance. It ended up working with her losing balance giving her the opportunity to kick her in the face.

Sci-fi sent an explosion her way making Aria crash into the wall. I made a bunch of light shards throwing it at her in a specific order to pin her down before forming a staff pushing it hard into the ground to start the process of sucking out the darkness while forming a sword made out of light.

The staff helped Aria as she pushed herself up but Sci-fi made the light shards that pinned her down burst coming at me. Aria jumped in throwing punches at her making her fall onto the ground.

Sci-fi quickly got up before I could perform another spell creating a huge explosion that knocked us out of the corridor. 

I crashed into the wall hitting my head feeling blood. I could see her heading straight towards us even through the smoke.

I glanced over at Aria seeing her struggling to get back on her feet despite being all cut up.

''Aria,'' I called making her look to me. ''Go help the others. This is my fight. I'll take her out.''

She nodded scrambling up and running off before Sci-fi could even make it out of the hallway. I used the wall for support standing up with my light sword in my hand.

''Looks like it's just you and me now.''
