S2 Chapter 17 - ''Disturbed''

I stood in front of everyone I asked to gather in the main room of the Light Kingdom my breath hitched in my throat. It was the next morning, November 14th, and here we are planning what could fix the situation or make it worse.

Both Star and Lacey having to rest in medical along with Blaire possibly being an insider weighed on the back of my mind as I gathered my courage and began speaking. ''Everyone here knows about the forced releasing of the deceased in Heaven. It's a natural process being disrupted by a trio, the leader being Sci-fi Morano, Miko Kersoon, and Tracey Miranda. With the help of many people, some coming down here to Shadow Creek to participate and those who risked their lives trying to fix this but nonetheless have provided us with the information of their base. Unfortunately one of our members are being held hostage.. and now it's our job to retrieve her and stop this once and for all. I'm now informed of their reason behind this.. but despite that, it is my duty as the ruler to put an end to this foolery. And here I am asking for you all to join me in doing so. We know their location. We also were informed that we have an insider.. Blaire Hoult. If that even is her real name. Something must be done about her as well. I want workers in on investigating her and the guards not to let her in.''

''Let's do it as soon as possible,'' Aria suggested speaking up. ''Tomorrow.''

I heard everyone else in the crowd mumble words of agreement as I took another deep breath. ''Okay. Tomorrow it is, then. However we can't go running in there with no sort of plan. That's what we're all here for. Work together to form the details of how we're going to go about this.''

Everyone began doing what I asked and I stepped down from where I was standing. For some reason I felt anxious. I don't know what it is but everything is making me feel nauseous.

Needing a breather I headed out of the room but noticed from the corner of my eye my new kitty, Hope, following right behind me.

I leaned against the wall outside of the door having her stop in front of me. Bending down to pick her up I saw Aria also stepped out. ''You alright?''

''No..'' I sighed stroking Hope's snow white fur.

''I noticed,'' Aria paused making me look up at her. ''Your face went pale when you talked about that Blaire chick.''

''I was going to tell you about her..'' I scratched my face with my free hand. ''Star said she was a friend. Someone who was helping her retrieve the dead. And I guess.. I fell in love with her at first sight.'' 

''Did anything happen between you two?'' She asked leaning against the wall next to me.

''We started dating, it didn't last that long though. Only a day.'' I chuckled sadly. ''Everything happened so fast..''

''You two had sex?''

I stayed silent for a moment before responding. ''Yeah.''

''So you lost your virginity to this girl.. even was her boyfriend albeit for a short while. But you loved her. And it turned out she was just using you..'' Aria explained trying to understand more.

''We don't know for sure, but it's what members of the trio hinted at. Alizia said that the only one who can confirm is Razor. But I'm just thinking that.. even if she is an insider, even if this whole thing is true, I don't think I can hate her.'' I stated honestly. 

''She's a bitch.'' I heard Bridget say seeing her walk out the room with Nate who closed the door behind him. ''You'll be okay, bro, I know it.''

''She's right. Everything will be fine, Logan. Just try and focus on the problem at hand right now. You have a Kingdom to save.'' Nate advised.
