S4 Chapter 8 - ''Let's make a deal''

Although Razor had said she would drop by again the next day after her first visit, she never did. It wasn't until the end of the week that she suddenly showed up at their doorstep.

Her young daughter had her growing hair in tiny pigtails, framing her chubby face. Bridget couldn't help but squeal upon the sight of her. ''She's so adorable! I can't wait until I can start doing that with Bailey.''

Razor snickered. ''The time will come soon. They grow up faster than we think.''

''Scwarlett!'' Carter shouted excitedly, running out to meet his friend he waited patiently for while she was absent. Ever since she first came around he's been evidently sad about her absence.

A big smile grew on Scarlett's face as she ran towards him as well, meeting him halfway for a hug. It made the parents giggle at the sight of them.

''Yep, definitely going to grow up to be best friends.'' Razor commented with a slight chuckle.

The guests then let themselves in, scattering about the spacious abode belonging to the owner and family members of the Water Kingdom. Bridget brought out some snacks for Razor and sat down with her at the dining table, dipping a tortilla chip in some salsa. ''You just missed Aria, you know. She left an hour or so before you came.''

''Oh, darn. Where did she go?'' Razor asked, reaching out to the bowl of chips.

Bridget waited until she was done munching to answer. ''Her boo.''

She looked confusing, waiting for some sort of explanation. Bridget couldn't help but giggle at her reaction. ''Dragon. Remember him?''

Razor sat there pondering for a moment before looking up and snapping her fingers in realization. ''That guy that was there at your graduation.''

Bridget nodded. ''They're not together or anything.. she's just helping him out with his life. Then once that's over we'll finally see what's to be determined of that ship.''

She giggled shortly. ''Speaking of, how's your marriage?''

''Ugh,'' Bridget started with a groan. ''We barely have time to do anything together these days. Don't get me wrong, I love my kids, but they're serious cock blockers. And Nate's been getting really sarcastic and sassy these days that sometimes I wonder if him and Aria switched bodies.''

''Well, they are siblings..''

''True that. But there's enough sarcasm and sass in this house with me and Aria.'' She followed with a joke, laughing.

''Actually, you bring all of the sass.'' Aria chimed in, strolling into the room. It startled the two partially because they didn't hear her come in nor her footsteps.

''No I don't.''

''Hi Aria.''

''Hey, Razor.''

Bridget rolled her eyes at Aria clearly ignoring her. ''So how was it with lover boy?''

''We haven't found any leads yet.'' Aria responded bluntly. ''But I rather not talk about that. You know how Logan hasn't talked to us lately?''
