S3 Chapter 11 - ''Research''
Bridget Martin
I stood in front of the desk in my bedroom taking out my ice cream and chocolate first before dumping the rest of the robot parts I collected out. I picked them up one by one examining them but..
I don't fucking know shit about robots. No one does. This technology is way beyond our time.
I couldn't give up though starting to research both online and in books in the library of the Water Kingdom but to no avail. I was growing frustrated and tired of not being able to figure out what the parts even were.
I slammed my hands on the desk some of the parts rolling off. Come on, come on, think. Who's someone that's incredibly smart and could possibly know about this stuff?
Alizia!
Feeling relieved I grabbed my phone and rang her up. ''Hello?''
''Hello? Bridget?'' Alizia questioned from the other end of the line.
''Can you come over tonight? I was out earlier and I saw one of those robots from the mall and I followed them and killed them.. and collected their body parts to try and figure something out but I have no idea what I'm fucking doing.''
Alizia sighed. ''Alright. I'll come over later after work.''
''Thank you so much!'' I said before hanging up sitting around waiting for her to show up. Once she did I watched her walk in and pick up the parts examining them closely with her eyes.
''This part is the microcontroller,'' Alizia stated picking one of the parts up before lifting another. ''And I'm pretty sure this is a laser rangefinder.'' She went through the others. ''Power supply.. wires.. image sensor.. motor.. shield..''
By the time she was finished she had only been identified half of the body parts collected. ''That's all I know, Bridget.''
''It's okay,'' I assured getting up. ''Thank you for helping honestly.''
''You need to tell me more about what happened. Specifically, what was the robot doing?'' Alizia questioned looking at me.
''I think it was putting something into the ground. I don't really know.'' I answered.
''You chased it, right? Where was it when you found it?'' She asked.
''An alleyway.''
''An alleyway, huh..''
''Yes..?'' I confirmed confused on where she was getting at. Alizia then went silent gazing down at the desk with her thinking face on.
I think I know.. maybe the robots are installing something into each alleyway around Shadow Creek? The terror attack at the Mall could only mean one thing; they're trying to kill everyone here.
But I won't let it happen.
