Aria's POV
Going through the portal just gave me a major headache. It was transporting our bodies through time and space, and I understand why Alizia made us hold onto her, because if we had nothing to hold onto, we would've fell in an instant.
I stumbled forward as we exited the portal and I gripped onto Alizia's arm tightly. She was standing properly and looking around. There were workers mumbling to each other and taking people out of their coffins. Is this what she meant when she said that they're forming a riot? Then what about the other people locked up?
"Aria! Logan!" Bridget called over to us quietly, walking over and I looked up to see Nate as well then looked down at their linked hands. I felt confused for a moment.
Since when did they get so friendly?
"What's with the hands?" Logan asked, beating me to it as he pointed at their intertwined fingers. Bridget blushed and stared down at her feet. "Well, it's a long story.."
"Congratulations, but we don't have time for this." I told her blankly before glancing over at the exit of the room then over at Alizia. "Where is he?"
"I hope you have a plan in mind instead of wasting my words of advice." Alizia commented. "But he's somewhere, most likely in his office, at this point I don't really care. I want him dead as much as you do."
"Weren't you the one that was trying to tell me to think before I do something?" I gazed over at her and shook my head.
"I'm not the one doing the beating, am I? Ultimately, that job is in your hands, Aria Matthews. I feel like you're the only one who can do it, and plus, you're the one he wants dead the most." Alizia voiced.
"I know that, but he has a stupid reason." I snickered. "How did he even find out about me talking to his son? And where would he think of something as stupid as that?"
"Kylie." Alizia answered bluntly. I turned my head to look at her fully. "What?"
"The whole reason behind this mess is indeed Kylie, the daughter of Z, the most famous doctor who's wealthy. So wealthy he could pull out a dollar and wipe his ass with it if he ran out of toilet paper." Alizia chuckled at her own joke. "Both him and his daughter are bad news. You took both of them out without knowing that they played a big role behind this whole situation. Shocking, huh?"
They were behind this? How did Kylie even find out about my relationship with Dragon, anyway? The only way she could've done that is.. alright, this is confusing. Then what about Z?
What the hell is even going on anymore? To put it simply, I have no idea what's happening.
All I know is I have to kill Hades, who wants to kill me, who happens to be the father of the guy I like. The reason why Hades wants to kill me is because of whatever Kylie did, the daughter of Z. And since when did Z ever have a fucking daughter? Who would actually want to reproduce with that guy? Not to mention their fucked up genes, they don't even look fucking related. Not that I'm one to talk about genes though, since me and Nate who's my brother don't look similar at all. I have black and red hair. He has blonde. I have turquoise eyes. He has green. Damn, the only resemblance we have is basically our skin tone and features. For example, the dots on our noses.
"Aria." Alizia called, bringing me out of my thoughts. "Are you ready?"
Great, I'm zoning out again. Why am I zoning out during a time like this? But I guess.. I zone out whenever I'm nervous.
One of the things I hate is not knowing what is going to happen. If I could predict the outcome of this battle, and if I were to lose, I would probably back out. There's only one thing I care about right now and that's winning. To win I have to kill him.
"I'm not sure." I answered honestly, clenching my fists. "But, I will be ready when I see him."
Alizia shook her head and sighed then gazed over at the other workers. "Alright everyone, we're taking our riot everywhere in this kingdom now. Get your weapons ready and yourself, because we're going to save the ones who have been broken down because of Hades, including ourselves."
The workers all agreed and pumped their fists into their air. All of them grabber whatever weapons they could and started to march out of the room. Alizia shook our grip off of her and followed after them.
"You guys seriously got together now out of all times?" Logan questioned and snickered to himself.
"Shut up." Bridget crossed her arms over her chest.
Nate shrugged. "Now or never."
"Guys, we'll celebrate this later, alright? Right now, we have to focus on what's about to come." I told them before following after Alizia and the workers. I could hear the other's footsteps following after me.
I'm a hypocrite. I'm talking about focusing on what's about to come when I can't even do that myself. I keep zoning out over the stupidest shit. This is a really bad habit of mines.
I caught up to Alizia and strolled beside her. I wanted to say something, but I just couldn't for some reason. Which means we just silently walked.
Then, Alizia finally broke the silence. "Aria. Despite how you may seem, you're not actually that grown up mentally, are you?"
What?
"What is that supposed to mean?" I questioned, not bothering to look at her.
"You seem like that intelligent person that thinks over everything. Good job to you if that's true. But even people like that have their flaws. One, because everyone expects everything from them. Two, because people like you tend to over think. Thinking of everything leads to over thinking with people like you. Or should I say, people like us." Alizia glanced at me then back in front of her. "We also are absent minded."
She picked up that much without evening knowing me that well?
"You're an observant one." I commented.
"So are you. An elemental's mind picks up on the smallest things and tries to figure out the reason behind it. As if it's there for them. That's the destructive mind of your kind, Aria." Alizia informed me as we kept on walking.
"I know." I sighed. "It sucks."
"I can see why people want you because of your elemental powers, but the mind of one is destructive and most elementals can't stand it. To deal with it, they use it to their advantage." Alizia turned to me. "Aria, use your mindset as an advantage against Hades. You can outsmart him then you'll have the higher possibility of winning."
"I have thought about outsmarting him." I admitted.
"Good. See? Quick thinker. It's one of your advantages. Since it will most likely be a fast paced battle, being able to think quickly on what to do next will definitely help you." Alizia stopped. "Alright, everyone, do your best." We were now in the hallway. "If you find Hades, tell me immediately!"
