Aria's POV
''Fuck.'' I mumbled and ran after Alizia. I could hear Bridget, Nate, and Logan running after me. Alizia sped through the corridors and into the room where the cells were. Standing there was Hades, blood and dead bodies scattered all over the floor in front of him.
My eyes shook as I stared up at the tall man who concealed his face with a mask and wore a long, raven black cloak that cascaded down onto the floor.
Some of the workers were cowering over in fear and hiding behind whatever they could find. Hades simply just stood there and kicked a dead body of one of the workers away from him. The cells were now empty, but there was a huge number of people on the floor.
Alizia was standing in front of us with, her hands curling into fists as she stared at the tall man before us. Hades. So this is what he looks like.
I clenched my fists and sucked my teeth as I continued to stare at him. I was shaking in fear at the sight of him, but my anger was boiling inside of me.
I can sense he's a powerful man. Do I really have what it takes in order to beat him?
''Finally, the person I want here is now standing in front of me.'' His deep voice croaked and he picked up one of the worker's and threw them at the wall. The worker screamed as they slid down the wall, blood staining the wall.
''Aria Matthews.'' He turned his gaze to me. ''Sixteen years old, the daughter of Poseidon. I want you dead.''
''The feeling is mutual.'' I stated angrily.
This man hates me for a fucking stupid reason. I bet it's his fault in the first place that he doesn't know where his son is.
Hades chuckled darkly and in a flash, he threw Alizia down to the floor without even touching her. He continued to throw her up into the roof and down crashing into the ground numerous times. She screamed loudly due to the pain she was experiencing.
''Alizia!'' I yelled, glaring over at Hades and I sent my earth powers to my hand. I spawned a huge boulder behind Hades and threw it straight at his back. Hades teleported away, leaving us alone in the room with the workers. I swore under my breath before running over to Alizia who was on the floor, struggling to breathe.
''Are you okay?'' I shook her gently. Bridget knelt down on the other side of her body while Logan and Nate stood there beside us.
''He's.. leaving,'' Alizia let out, panting. ''Go get him.''
''Leaving?'' I questioned. ''Where is he going? And more importantly, we can't leave you!''
''More importantly?!'' Alizia coughed up blood. ''No, this is fine. You need to go after that man. All of you. Now.''
''Will you even be okay?! And for fuck sakes, I don't know where he went!'' I yelled at her. Alizia glanced at me and quickly sat up, rubbing the back of her neck.
''I'll be fine, trust me. This much.. it won't effect me.'' She gazed at all of us. ''Since we're all rioting, he'll probably go to the place that is his back up. He's such a dumb ass, using that place as back up when it's not rightfully his..''
''What place?'' Bridget questioned, rubbing her back. Alizia continued to cough, covering her mouth then once she was finished she removed her hand away from her face.
''The back up is The Fire Kingdom. I'm sure you know where that is, considering two of you are the owners of Kingdoms.'' Alizia explained, breathing heavily.
She looks horrible. The wounds that are on her body.. it's all because of Hades. He is going down.
But for that split second I was there with him, I was scared. How am I going to fight him if I'm scared? My fear will just get in the way. But I can't let my anger overtake me. Because then the advice Alizia gave me would be useless.
A battle is a matter of mind and body, not emotions. It's not about what I want. It's about the attacks I use, what he does, how I respond to it, and how he responds to it.
That determines the outcome of the life or death battle.
''Alright.'' I stood up, motioning to pick her up but Alizia pushed me away. I gazed down at her with a confused expression on my face.
''Do not take me with you, Aria Matthews. All four of you need to go by yourselves. I need to take care of everyone else here.'' Alizia told me, staring at me directly in the eyes.
''But.. will you be okay?'' Bridget questioned worriedly.
''I said I'll be fine, now just go already! Head out into the hallway and go north, then once you arrive in another hallway go to the left, the exit will be there! Now leave! Hurry up!'' Alizia shouted at us. I nodded quickly and ran out of the room with Logan, Nate, and Logan sprinting after me.
I used the directions Alizia had told us to exit the kingdom. As we climbed up the ladders and reached the surface, Nate glanced at me. I sensed his stare, turning my head to look at him.
''I hope you know we're helping you, Aria.'' Nate stated, his facial expression serious.
I already knew that since they're coming with me. But I feel as if this is my battle. I should be the only one fighting him. He wants me dead the most, and since he wants me dead, I'll take him on for everything that he's done.
I only nodded at him though and I started to make my way through the darkness of the forest. I could hear their footsteps behind me, all of us not saying a single word. We just stayed quiet, nervous of what was to come.
''Guys, I just want to say that I love you all.'' Logan announced. A small smile appeared on my face because of his words.
''Yeah.'' Nate answered. ''So do I.''
''Of course I love you guys too.'' Bridget voiced.
I continued to stay silent, but I felt their stares at my back and it was starting to make me uncomfortable.
It's just that, I don't feel like saying anything. I love them too. But what's on my mind right now is the battle with Hades. Who'll win? Who'll die? If he wins, what will happen then?
The thoughts were just consuming me. I need to focus, because if I don't then it'll fuck me up. Alizia told me to stay on track in order to beat Hades. Because of my mindset, I can use it to my advantage, but she didn't realize that my mindset is also my disadvantage.
It has it's ups and downs. This what I hate about being an elemental. That and how I'm one of the only ones remaining. That's why Z was after me.
I don't think just because I'm an elemental I'll be able to beat Hades. He's the fucking god of the Underworld.
Then, I'll go into the battle thinking that I'm going to lose.
Before I knew it, we were all standing in front of the entrance of the Fire Kingdom. My breath hitched in my throat as I climbed down the ladders with the others climbing down after me.
