S2 Chapter 5 - ''Love at first sight''
Logan Martin
After what happened yesterday I couldn't even bother going to school today. I've been busy trying to solve this whole situation that bitch created. Normally I wouldn't be so harsh, but this is my Kingdom for God sake. She's messing everything up that's been running smoothly for such a long time and I can't even begin to comprehend what kind of reason she must have behind this.
''Thanks for staying over to help out, Alizia. If it weren't for you I wouldn't have gotten my paperwork done.'' I stated in appreciation followed with a soft chuckle.
''No problem Logan. I have to go to work now though. I'll drop by later.'' Alizia informed before heading out of my office.
Alizia is a good friend. If she wasn't here to help out I don't know what I would have been able to accomplish by myself. Everything is a huge cluster fuck that I can't figure how to pull apart.
A little while later Aria slammed the door open, walking in with her hand on one of the straps of her backpack.
''What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be in school- oh wait, I forgot you're suspended.''
Aria rolled her eyes, she threw down her backpack and sat down in the bean bag chair near my desk. ''Shouldn't you be in school?'' She asked back sarcastically.
''Decided to skip today and work more on fixing what's going on around here.'' I answered, standing up with my hands on my waist looking around in stress. I was going to do something but forgot what.
''Hard being the fucking owner of a Kingdom and a student at the same time, isn't it?'' Aria questioned already knowing the answer.
''It's hard as fuck! Some days I get so sick of this shit, you have no idea Ar. I try not to let it get to me because of Bridget but I'm already fucking getting grey hairs.'' I let out in stress and frustration.
''You're telling me man.'' Aria knew exactly how I felt, to be honest she looked like she wasn't getting enough sleep lately with how dark the circles under her eyes were.
''I don't understand why my fucking father can't be the King. I know he's fucking still around. Bridget didn't say anything but I know he is.'' I paced around the room trying to calm down. ''At this point I'm not even going to be able to graduate.''
''You'll graduate, Logan. There's always alternatives. You can make it work. Maybe do online school since you're always here?'' Aria suggested.
''That's actually not a bad idea.'' Online school is starting to become a thing nowadays. Technology still had a long way to go around here in Shadow Creek but for us magic users they wanted us to be able to take classes online as quickly as we possibly can.
''Sign up whenever then. Maybe just do it for a few months before we graduate.'' Aria kept glancing around the room. ''Don't you have any beer? What the fuck.''
I rolled my eyes. ''Is that why you came here?''
''Part of the reason.'' Aria answered.
Honestly, I couldn't help but chuckle at her response. ''It's not in my office obviously. Check the big cabinet in the kitchen on the left.''
''I don't understand why there's more than one kitchen...'' Aria got up, heading out of the room.
''You have more than one kitchen in your Kingdom!'' I yelled after her, assuming that she flicked me off without me seeing.
I laughed sitting back down at my desk. Now, what was I going to do..
Suddenly I saw a bright figure peeking in through the door frame. ''Hello..?''
