Chapter 92: The egg hatched! and...

It was a normal day and with everything sorted out now and you winning the Clubsplosion tournament, the group was chilling in the middle of their journey, while Cilan was cooking the lunch.

Ash and Iris were battling, while Arlo was taking care of the remaining pokémon and you were sitting on the grass, with the egg on your lap, watching Victini mess around with your Carracosta.

"Carracosta, why don't you- huh?" You looked down at your lap, and yelled in shock to see the egg glowing, "GUYS THE EGG IS GOING TO HATCH!" You announced, and all your friends and their pokémon came rushing towards you.

The egg started to rapidly move left and right before it started to crack, letting more light emerge from inside.

Everyone held their breath, ready to see what the pokémon was.

The egg finally cracked open and the light started to reduce, but still you couldn't quite understand the silhouette, until the light stopped emerging from the newborn and it was NONE OTHER THAN....AN...

ABSOL.

"ABSOL?!" You screamed.

"THIS IS AN ABSOL?!"
"NO WAY YOU GOT AN ABSOL?!"
"AN ABSOL?!"

Your friends' jaws were as open as yours at the sight of the rare pokémon.

The absol blinked twice before looking around itself, seeing the pokémon and humans before looking back at its trainer; you and letting out a soft bark.

"OH MY GOSH, I CAN'T BELIEVE IT! I GOT AN ABSOL?!" You squeaked in happiness and immediately hugged the newborn.

"Is Absol a Johto pokémon?" Iris asked.
"As far as I know, it's a Hoenn one." Cilan replied.
"Ash can you use the pokédex?" You requested.
"Yeah sure." He nodded and pointed the dex towards Absol.

"Absol, the disaster pokémon, a dark type. Rumored to sense disasters with its horn, it became a target. It fled deep into the mountains. It appears from deep in the mountains to warn people about upcoming disasters it has sensed with its horn."

"Makes sense. Remember the times we bumped into wild Absols in the past? They all were misunderstood by the local people." Arlo said, remembering the old times.

"So Absols are misunderstood by people?" Iris asked with a frown.
"Yeah." You nodded.
"I've never seen one up so close. It is amazing!" Cilan marveled, "So magnificent and shiny..."

Absol quickly jumped out of your arms and stepped away from the group and growled softly.

"Hey hey, Absol, it's fine. You don't have to be scared of us!" You reassured, panicking slightly, because what if it runs away?

Victini quickly jumped away from Carracosta and appeared behind Absol playfully, causing it to sweat.

"Absol?!" It growled and backed away to the other side, unable to understand what was going on and why there were so many people surrounding it.

Victini giggled and started teleporting from one side of Absol to the other, annoying it.

"Looks like Victini is having fun with its new friend" Ash said, chuckling nervously.
"Guys should I call Professor Juniper and tell her to inform Professor Oak about Absol?"
"Of course! Weren't you whining to him yesterday because your egg wasn't hatching?" Iris remembered.
"Oh shut up" you puffed your cheeks and quickly called Juniper from your XTransceiver to let her know the rare pokémon you just got.
