Karl POV.

I finished my chicken, taking a moment to grab my napkin and wipe my face to get any crumbs or juice that may have ended up there during my meal. Then I politely set my hands on my lap while watching the three on the other side of the table. Sapnap had also finished his meal however the other three had not.

They were all drunk, having had at least four or five drinks each, except for Techno who had downed a whole bottle of vodka. I was feeling concerned for him, maybe we should be calling somebody who knew if that was normal for humans. George chuckled to himself as he took another bite of his chicken before looking up at us.

“So… i was won-wondering where you were goin’ to?” He asked, some of his words slurred as he looked up at us. “When ya leave tomorrow.”
“Oh.” I muttered. “We were planning on going to Florida. I’ve been craving the warm sun and I hear the beaches are quite romantic.”

“Romantic?” Techno chuckled, trying to keep his laughing under control but then he began to get louder. “You should stay here in California, it’s much better.” I would have glared if it wasn’t considered rude. He was trying to ruin our plans, thankfully George spoke up.

“What if you guys… y’know? Stayed with us?” His accent was much thicker as he downed almost a third of his glass. “We have like a dozen spar-spare rooms.”
“George!” Dream gasped. “You can’t jus offer that to them without asking us.” He attempted to lower his voice yet it didn’t change. “We should dis-gus it first.”

“Why?” He responded, sounding more gritted. “They need a place to stay an we have rooms.” The two of them began to squabble back and forth to one another. For a few moments the two of them bickered, leaving me and Sapnap sitting awkwardly and Techno continuing to down another glass of vodka.

Usually I would try and stop the arguing, yet in this situation us having the opportunity to stay at the house was beneficial. So we both stayed silent. Eventually it ended up with the two of them even more drunk, with no clear conclusion to the argument. I hoped that it would be concluded tomorrow with us having an invite to their home.

I sighed. After having sat for a while I decided to stand up and stretch. A moment after I was standing up though I saw Sapnap moving as well. His hand moved to hold mine. “Would I be able to have a dance?” He asked, a shine in his eye as he looked at me.

Instead of immediately nodding my gaze waivered, looking over to the other three at the table. If they spotted us doing anything romantic then it would tip them off that we weren't friends. It wasn’t the biggest secret yet it could betray their trust which wasn’t what we were wanting. “They are all drunk.” His voice lowered. “They won’t notice us leave.”

When I was still cautious he smiled softly. “Just one dance? Please?” One dance did seem fine, after all they were all too drunk to notice. I gave him a nod and his grin widened. With his hand still holding mine he escorted me down to a dance floor, half full of couples. We were dressed more casually than them but they were all too focused on one another to care.

Just to make sure we weren't spotted I led him to the centre of the crowd, just in time as the band began to strum an upbeat tune. Sapnap took a moment to give my hand a kiss before twirling me to the beat, pulling an exhilarating chuckle from deep within me. I naturally fell into place alongside him.

We both loved to dance. It was a common courting of angels, at least of Cupids. Others may all also have their own different beliefs and traditions that I was not aware of. Sapnap told me that much at the very least. Sapnap had told me that Seraphins for example courted one another with some form of fire.

My head moved to rest on his chest, listening to his breathing as he hummed along to the tune. It was enough to put me in my own world with only him and I. Not even our job mattered. Our feet moved in time with the beats of the song and we blended in with the ripple of fabric. When the song ended I felt as though we’d only been here a few mere seconds.

The band fell silent and a ripple of applause ran through the dancers. As the band prepared the next song Sapnap looked into my eyes. “So do you want another dance?” He asked. “They still seem wasted, I bet another few minutes will be fine.” A piano began a few notes, a much slower and romantic song cued itself in.

Techno POV.

I gazed over, watching as the two spun on the dance floor between others. They looked happy with one another, as though they were both alone in their own heaven. I sipped on my own vodka before frowning as I noticed an empty glass.

As a waitress walked past I waved her over. “Excuse me Miss.” I smiled. “Could you get me another bottle, please?” She seemed shocked that I was asking for my fifth bottle of vodka, yet when she didn’t see me drunk at all after a minute of ue contact she backed away.

“Can I ge’ some more vodka too?” George asked, incredibly wasted. He was sitting beside me and looking over beggingly. “You share… won’t you Techno?”
“I think maybe you’ve had enough.” I said, patting his hand which gripped at the table.

Neither of my friends were as good at keeping alcohol down as I was, and Dream lifted his head as he heard me speaking to George. The brunette in his drunken state moved to lean on the blond, letting out a groan. “Dreamie~” he hummed with a pout. “Can I get a drink? Please? Tech won’t let me and I’m thiiirsty!”

Dream moved his hand to hold George’s face, examining him. Then he tiredly shook his head. “You’re more drunk than me.” He stated. “Just lay here and wait until the others are ready to go.”
I chuckled as my new vodka bottle was set down in front of me. “How did you get wasted in such a fancy restaurant?” I asked both of them.

When neither of them responded I rolled my eyes. “We are flying out tomorrow afternoon. What if all of the people from the convention see two hungover Youtubers wandering around an airport?” Still no response and so I rolled my eyes before opening the bottle and beginning to swig straight from the bottle.

“Where is Karl!?” George raised his voice as he questioned. “I want to leave and I nee- him here to walk me home.” A few people glanced over at us. Thankfully it was not about the fact that we were Youtubers, instead because Gorge was drawing attention to us.

“He’s just doin’ some stuff.” I explained, my gaze on the pair on the dance floor which the other two didn’t notice. “He and Sapnap were just… talking to some friends. They’ll be ready to leave in a few minutes.”
