George POV.

For the first time in possibly my entire time living here I was the first one to wake up. Perhaps it was just because this was the first time that I had a reason to be up earlier than all of my housemates. I decided I would make some pancakes for everyone to eat this morning, and so as I slunk downstairs I held my phone in one hand and swiped through recipes.

I wanted to do something different than regular pancakes, something that our guests, and our other roommates of course, haven’t had. I thought about chocolate chip pancakes, marble pancakes, cinnamon roll pancakes, and a couple of others that looked interesting.

Eventually I decided on french toast pancakes, which sounded interesting and looked relatively easy to make. After doing a check through the kitchen to make sure we had everything I began following the recipe, starting by putting all of the ingredients into the bowl and whisking them together.

While I moved I hummed some songs to myself, thinking about what I could do with Karl and Sapnap. The brunette was someone who I was especially eager to please, with that strange way he was capable of making me do anything if only he should ask. I smiled sweetly to myself before being shocked as I saw Techno coming down the stairs.

“George?” He asked, eyes narrowing in caution and concern as he saw me. “What are you doin’ up this early?” He questioned. The pinkette was walking through the kitchen and went to open the fridge, probably looking for a quick breakfast before he headed out to do whatever he usually did during the day.

“I’m making breakfast.” I answered. “Pancakes if you want some.” Techno basically froze, eyes narrowing further as he turned his head slowly to look at me.
“What’re you playing at?” He asked. “Are you sick?”
“No.” I replied, taking my attention off the food to look over at the taller man. “Why?”

“You never make breakfast.” The pinkette’s voice was gruff as he reminded me of that. “You never make anything.” After a moment he added on “you’re wanting something.”
“No.” I scoffed quickly. “Just figured that since we have guests that I should make breakfast.”

I turned my attention back to the bowl while listening as he closed the fridge behind me. “I’ll take breakfast.” He gave a nod. “Maybe I should go back to bed and have you bring breakfast for me.” Despite saying that he didn’t make any effort to leave the room, just slunk away from the fridge and sat down.

Part of me wanted to nicely ask him to help out. Perhaps have him heat up the pan or cut up some fruit to have with our meal, but I didn’t. It would be much more meaningful to the whole household, but especially to Karl, if I made this for everyone out of the goodness in my heart. Karl would definitely appreciate that.

Then afterwards I will tell him about all the places that I spent last night researching. A list of fun activities to indulge him and his friend in. Perhaps it was too sudden but I’d then offer to take him out to dinner. Something about his body just screamed inhuman perfection, and I wanted to have the chance to spend time with him one-on-one.

It didn’t have to be considered a date. He was incredibly beautiful and I would love the opportunity to ask him out, but a date may be too much since we’d only known each other a week at most. God, I was beginning to sound so obsessed, as if this boy was an addiction.

“What’s the face for?” Techno asked, snapping me out of my thoughts. I blinked a few times as I turned to face him, noticing that I had basically forgotten to stir the batter.
“What face?” I hadn’t thought that I had been making a face.
“That face.” He retorted. “You look sick.”

“Do I?” My brows furrowed and I peered through the window to my left, faintly being able to see my reflection in the glass. Maybe it was just the fact that this wasn’t a clear reflective surface, merely translucent, but I didn’t think I looked too bad. “It’s nothing.” I reassured him. “I’m just thinking about stuff.”

He slunk out of his seat, moving over to the bench and leaning against it, basically trapping me into a smaller space to avoid getting out of this conversation. “What sort of stuff?”
It was clear the pinkette was waiting for an answer but I took a long time to peer over the recipe on the screen in front of me, rereading the instructions four or five times.

As I stared at the screen, Techno spoke my name, his voice soft as he waited patiently for an answer. “After mixing in milk, butter, and eggs, pour a ¼ cup of batter into the pan and cook for three minutes on each side.” I read the instructions allowed instead of answering the pinkette. “Oh shit I forgot to heat the pan!”

“I’ll deal with it.” Techno answered, moving past me to grab two frying pans out of the cupboard where they were kept. I wouldn’t admit it out loud but I wasn’t even sure where the pans were kept and so I was grateful he’d grabbed them. “I’ll even help you cook an’ flip ‘em. That way they’ll be cooked twice as fast.”

“Thanks.” I was breathy, feeling overwhelmed from the simple task of just cooking pancakes. This was why I usually had Dream or Techno take over this responsibility.
“But seriously… what’s on your mind?” He asked, continuing to move around the kitchen with the aura of a professional chef. “I won’t judge you much if you just need to get it off your chest.”

"Just thinking about Karl." I commented, going back to my newfound comfort of just continuing to mix the batter, the smell of cinnamon filling my nose.
"The tall brown-haired one?" Techno asked, clearly not knowing the names of our guests. I gave a brief nod. "What are you thinking about? About Karl?"

"I had an idea… Well, it was one that Karl's friend Sapnap suggested. He said that I should plan some activities around Florida." I explained.
"Did he?" The pinkette asked, hand drifting close to the pan to see if it was hot enough to begin cooking.

"He suggested I work with Dream." I added on. “But I decided Karl would find it more personal if I did it on my own.”
“You like Karl.” He chuckled, and I glared at my friend and roommate.
“No I don’t.” I spoke quickly. “He is cute and stuff, but I don’t think so.”

The pinkette rolled his eyes. “I think you do.” He chuckled, once again checking the temperature of the pan. “Hand me the batter, I’m going to start pouring.”
“Anyway, why would it matter if I like Karl? I am a grown man and can like who I want, since it’s not like he’s a minor or anything.”

“Fair enough.” Techno shrugged. “I mean I can’t complain if it causes you to get out of bed before ten in the morning without me draggin’ you, and it means you make breakfast for the first time since I’ve known you.”
“So you don’t care?” I asked.

“Nope.” He stated. “I think it’s a bit weird you’re in love with a guy you just met a week ago but other than that I have no issues.” He brushed a strand of pink hair from his eyes. “So I say go for it.”
“Thanks.” I smiled. Thankful he was supportive.
