Techno POV.
A cold glass of water was in my hand, and I boredly swirled it around and listened to the ice clinking around. From upstairs I could faintly hear the sound of a door opening, and I knew that it had to be either Dream or George. Both of the Cupids were sitting outside and talking with one another, meaning it couldn’t be either of them.
I waited patiently, listening to the sounds of the person moving around before they headed down the stairs. It was Dream, and he was holding a box of chocolates in his hands. A blush was dusting his cheeks, one that would be noticeable if I hadn’t been looking directly at him.
He knew from the way that I looked at him, and the way that a gift had been left, that I was aware of what had happened. Just to add more salt into his wound of embarrassment I grinned at him. “So how did it go?” I didn’t tell him exactly what I was asking about, but as he saw my expression his face darkened.
“Just be quiet.” The voice was firm and annoyed, and I smiled some more at it. Dream’s gaze drifted away from me and it seemed as though he lost himself in thought. I wondered what it was about, however I didn’t say anything about it. Instead I moved to stand right beside him, smiling while cocking my head to the side.
“So where’s George?” I decided to ask him, knowing what I believed to be the answer to the question. I waited patiently for him to answer, seeing the way his eyes narrowed in annoyance.
“He is in his own room.” The blond explained to me, looking down at the box in his hands, putting extra emphasis on the word ‘own’. “I think he’s asleep.”“Okay.” I nodded. “Because you and him having a conversation tired him out so much.” I didn’t look towards him, but he whacked at me with the back of his hands, causing me to roll my eyes. “I’m just saying, that conversation must have been very long, and very hard.”
“Just shut up at this point Techno.” He instructed.“Sure.” I sighed. The ice had been melting in my glass and I lifted it to my lips so that I could have a drink. My eyes closed as I took the time to enjoy the cold water, and when I opened them again I turned to my friend.
"Whatever you two did, I hope that you both have been able to… I don't know… define what you want to be to each other and all that crap." God, I felt so corny but I couldn't help being genuinely happy for my friends, and my clients. I smiled at the blond, tilting my glass as a sign of congratulations before drinking it.
"Well," I could sense his happiness, a form of happiness that I hadn't seen present in him for a while. "I do think maybe you guys helped us… a lot. He and I…" He paused to take a long breath, with me studying him cautiously. "I believe that thanks to you he and I will be able to be happy together."
As he spoke his fingers clawed at the box, the pressure he was using to push into the cardboard enough to whiten his skin. "That was a gift from all three of us." I informed him when he looked down at it. "A sign of good faith, and it appears a sign of congratulations too." His blush darkened some more.
A strand of pink hair swayed in front of my face, slicing right through my sight of the blond man. I took a moment to brush it out of my face and in that time he began walking over to the pantry. "I just came down to see if you guys were back and get some food for myself and George." The blond offhandedly explained.
All I did was 'uh-huh', allowing my friend to frantically move around even if it embarrassed him. For now I had said all that I needed to and allowed him to do what he needed to do. After a few moments and the loud sound of food wrappers being pulled and doors being opened, he disappeared upstairs.
"He's such an idiot." I chuckled to myself, glancing in the direction of the stairs at the sound of a door opening and closing. "But it is good that he cares about George, even if it means he still is an errand boy getting snacks." I continued to smile proudly at my two idiot roommates until I heard another door opening.
My smile fell away, returning to a stone cold demeanour as I turned to look over. Sapnap and Karl shuffled into the room, still anxious. They were both worried about the fact that they had revealed they were not human, despite my conversation with them earlier. Karl especially had his gaze darting around cautiously.
"Have you seen them?" The brunette asked, immediately looking towards me with a stare which drilled through my soul. "D-did they say anything about us?"
"I saw Dream." I informed the pair, hands folded neatly behind my back as I addressed them. "He just wanted food, but he thanked us.""He's not going to tell anyone?" Sapnap asked now, expression unreadable.
"I believe that he won't tell, and George won't tell either." My words relieved them, they both sighed out in relief and lowered their heads.Their paranoia was still quite amusing, not that I would comment on it out loud. While I sat relishing the feeling they both stood in silence. They were both still worried and it was still entertaining, and it would continue to be entertaining for at least the next five or so times I pointed it out.
"We're gonna go upstairs." Karl eventually muttered to me, his hand moving to hold Sapnap’s. "We just want some time alone."
"Whatever." I let out a huffing noise. "Just don't bother them, we don't want to ruin the progress that I made with them."Both of them just gave a nod before disappearing up the staircase, leaving me alone once again. I was fine with this, enjoying the fact that I'd be alone and I wouldn't have to worry about someone else appearing for a while at least. Dream and George were together in one bedroom and Karl and Sapnap were in the other.
I wanted a light drink and so I took a bottle of vodka for me to sip on. This was also good as I was able to lounge on the couch without a worry of someone demanding I move over. As I laid there though my phone began vibrating in my pocket.
There was nobody who was supposed to be calling me and so I was confused, but my eyes widened as I saw the called ID. I sat up and answered it. "How did you get this number?" I asked, voice harsh, not excited about this kind of call.
"From Sapnap and Karl." The voice responded. "And they've told me about what you've been doing, Techno."
