It's George being a detective, what more is there to say?

Techno POV.

“Holy shit.” I looked over to George when I heard his voice. He had been quite quiet throughout most of this interaction, leaving Dream to do all of the talking. After the brunette had been sitting for a while he would have had the chance to do a lot of thinking about all of this information. Perhaps it was a big discovery that he had made, although knowing George that was unlikely.

We all looked towards him but nobody else said anything. I was the one to speak up, not a hint of emotion in my face as I looked at the pair of humans. “What?” My voice was gruff, and his gaze moved to meet mine when I spoke.
“You are a guardian angel… aren’t you?”

How did he? I didn’t say anything, feeling both Sapnap and Karl looking at me, their eyes burning holes into the side of my face. They were both thinking something similar, wondering how George figured it out with the limited information that he had been given.

Dream was also watching, his face a surprised contrast to George’s determinedness. After a long moment I gave him a nod. “I am.”
“What?” The blond was still confused, looking from one member of the group to the next, searching for an explanation.

Right now though, I was more curious as to how he found out about me. “How did you figure it out?” I asked George, tilting my head as I examined him. His hands were clasped together in his lap and he lowered his head smoothly to look at them.

“I was just… thinking.” He searched for the words, eyes slowly darting back and forth as he thought over everything, coming up with an explanation. “It’s hard to explain, but I was just thinking and it somehow clicked. You are an angel, and from the whole time I’ve known you, you’ve always given me and Dream good advice.”

More thoughts poured steadily into his mind, I could see it happening in real time as I waited patiently. “I just thought about how there are different angels, and you help us and guardian angels help people. It just clicked.”
“Well you are correct.” I smiled, leaning back on the couch.

“Seriously?” Dream asked. “You are a Guardian Angel? Your job is to be a Guardian to us?” I merely nodded, feeling a smile growing under the surface at both of their reactions. They were my friends, and it was funny to see them like this. “B-but how? Why?” I could sense relief coming from Karl and Sapnap at the fact they weren’t being focused on now.

A string of words, phrases, questions, all passed between his lips. They appeared plump with wanting, craving an answer to every syllable that he uttered. Dream was a friend of mine and I wanted to answer every question, but I couldn't when they all flew in my direction at once. I merely smiled and waited patiently.

Once he had finished his initial string of jumbles he took a few breaths. Then he thought of another question. "But… you are a youtuber. How are you an angel and a youtuber?" Intent was clear in the emerald green of his eyes.
"I'ma hacker. All of my earlier videos were faked, as were my early subscribers."

"We angels do not typically approve of those methods." I heard Karl mutter under his breath, yet everyone in the room was able to hear. I didn't mind. Standard angel methods often didn't work, something which I had already talked to both Karl and Sapnap about, having convinced them less conventional means worked.

"And you are behind every major decision that we have made… like ever?" He was still trying to make sense of what a Guardian Angel did.
"Somewhat. I know what is best for each of my clients and guide them to that." It was a simple explanation, and he gave a brief nod.

"And what about you two?" George's attention slid across the room to the pair of Cupids. They both froze like a pair of deer in headlights. "If Techno is a Guardian Angel are you two also Guardians of some kind. Or do you like to guard God or something."

"No." Karl shook his head, I could see his face heating up. "We work as… it shouldn't really matter. We aren't working at the moment, right Sap? Just tourists."
"Yes." Sapnap dutifully nodded in agreement with his partner. "Just wanting to visit the human world at least once this century."

George had somehow become a detective, an impressive feature for someone who plays minecraft and is British for a living. "You've been trying to get myself and Dream together the whole time you have been staying here."
"Wait what?" The blond asked, gaze moving to George.

"If Techno is a Guardian Angel then are you some kind of… cupids?" Holy shit. What is going on with him today? Usually he was just sitting around watching TikToks or asking Dream for money, but today he was actually being observant. I was surprised, and impressed, by my friend.

"No." Sapnap quickly jumped in, standing up as he did to draw the attention of everyone. "Cupids… they don't exist. We are just tourists."
"Well they exist but we are not them." Karl pointed out. I noticed the way their stupid contradiction made them unravel.

"You have been trying to suggest that we go out to dinner or stay and share a cake since back in California." I could feel another smirk beginning to build, it was a dick move but I thought it was funny that they were about to caught. I managed to hide it as I looked back over at them.

"Have you two angels been trying to get us together?" They both paled, slowly and reluctantly lowering their head yet not giving him a verbal response.
"Oh my God you are!" Dream jumped up, his voice wavering with different layers of confusion. "You are trying to get the two of us together!"

They both shared a look of confusion and realisation, seemingly forgetting that the three of us were here. I watched the Brit as he sat piecing something together before slowly questioning us. "Does… does that mean that we are soulmates?" George cautiously questioned, blush building up on his face.
"I think it does." A small smile appeared on Dream’s face.

Slowly, guility, Karl and Sapnap both nodded, prompting the humans to look at each other. Neither of them spoke, and we didn't make any noise either. After a few long moments of them just looking into each other's gaze they broke eye contact. "I think I want to go to bed. I'm kinda tired." George quickly explained, disappearing up the stairs with a blush on his face.

None of us pointed out it wasn't even noon yet, letting him go. After a few moments the blond began to walk out himself. "I will go and… talk to him." He awkwardly explained before he left.

The moment that the two humans were gone I straightened my back and smiled. "Perhaps we should go for a drive." I offered, glancing over to the pair. "Let them have some space to talk."
