Dream POV

I stepped out of the Uber after Techno, sparing a glance up at the large hotel before turning back to the brunette still sitting inside. He was clearly dazed and tired, blinking the entire time as though the world was too bright. He’d slept the entire drive to the airport, he’d slept after we’d checked in, he’d slept on the plane, and yet he was still tired.

“Do you need a hand sleepyhead?” I asked tauntingly, yet George took my hand without complaint nonetheless. While I helped him out of the car Techno gathered our suitcases and bags, handing them to each of us in turn.

George continued to hold my hand, not caring at all about how I would tease him later. I figured maybe he was being cute but when I looked over I saw that he was taking photos and was using me to direct him away from walking into a door. Once again I rolled my eyes and just allowed him to use me as some kind of guide dog.

“You are really spoiling him, aren’t you?” I looked over at Techno who walked in front of us. He was studying the two of us as we walked and I rolled my eyes without saying anything to him. The hotel lobby was empty aside from a pair of men standing there quietly conversing. Techno led the way over to the reception desk and a man there smiled at us.

“Good afternoon and welcome to the Layview Hotel, do you have a booking?” Techno nodded and gave our information, I was watching him for a few moments before hearing a voice behind me which caught my attention.

“Ohmygod, they’re holding hands.” A voice spoke happily. I looked over, the two men in the lobby were the only other people in the room still and they both looked over at us. It seemed as though it had been the one with the purple hoodie, since he had his own subtle smile. I gave the pair a smirk since it seemed they were fans of us, and it caused the brunette to blush.

George had also noticed this, and ripped his hand away from me with a look of disgust. I knew he didn’t mean it and it was only because of the fact that he was being watched. Techno turned to look at us, having three key cards which he passed to us. “Here,” his voice was gruff. “A key for each of our rooms. They can be used for all three of them so we can visit each other freely.”

“So you mean I can annoy George at any time I like?” I chuckled before lightly getting whacked by the Brit. The three of us walked along to the elevator and Techno pressed the up button. Then when he stepped inside he pressed the fourth floor button.
“I am in room 05, Dream is in 06, and George is in 08.” He explained as we went up.

“What?” I questioned, surprised that we weren’t right next to each other. Instead there was a gap between the rooms, which was going to be annoying since we’d likely all hang out every day before and after checking out the convention.
“Someone else must have booked the room between us.” Techno shrugged.

George grumbled. “Why do I have to be the one in the separate room?” He questioned. “Why can’t I be next to one of you?”
“Because you were the one who slept in this morning.” Techno responded. “Plus you like to scream to annoy us, I trust you’ll behave if you are next door to strangers instead of us.”

I chuckled, since Techno’s words were funny and so was George’s annoyed expression. When the brunette realised that he wasn’t going to get anything from Techno he instead turned his attention to me. “Hey Dream… Dreamie… do you think that you could switch rooms with me? Please?” He even went as far to flutter his eyelashes at me.

“I’m sorry George.” I responded. “But we all agreed that Techno would be in charge of the rooms, if he decided that I am in room 06 and you are in room 08 then that’s that.” The brunette pouted but he gave up on attempting to guilt trip me instead just balling up his fists.

None of us said anything as the bell dinged and opened on the fourth floor. We all gathered up our bags and headed to our rooms. George enviously watched as we swiped the key cards to enter our rooms and slowly he did the same as we entered our rooms.

Sapnap POV.

“Let’s just wait here. They will be here soon.” Karl instructed and I rolled my eyes. George and Dream should be at some point soon, according to the flight information we found they landed half an hour ago, and so they should have grabbed their luggage and should be in an Uber by now.

“Why did we have to come so early?” I complained, rolling my shoulders while glancing around. “We have ages. We could have slept in or gone sightseeing or something.”
“Sapnap, we are here to work.” Karl reminded me. “This was your idea and so now we have to be here and get these best friends together.”

I grumbled, but he was right. It was my idea to do this job and so we had to stand here until George and Dream both appeared. To pass the time Karl took my hands, tracing patterns with his fingers over them and sending through little waves of angelic magic. It allowed lights to run through my skin and we were far enough away from humans that they wouldn’t see it.

Then Karl let out a small gasp, and my gaze moved up to see three people walking into the hotel. One of them was a man with pink hair who I didn’t recognise, but the other two I did. It was Dream and George, looking exactly how they did with the hologram in the pearl.

They passed us without paying any notice, walking over to the counter and the pink haired man spoke to the receptionist. With them not looking Karl and I were able to shamelessly study them. We both made a discovery that Karl was audible about. “Ohmygod, they’re holding hands.” He spoke excitedly, which would mean our jobs would be a lot easier.

One of them managed to hear us, the blond. He turned to look at us and smirked, however the smirk seemed to be directed at Karl. it made my white-winged angel blush with awkwardness and embarrassment. The other brunette seemed disgusted at what Karl had said, pulling his hand away from Dream.

When they disappeared into the elevator Karl pouted. “Damn it.” He cursed, with me being shocked that he said such a vulgar phrase. “They were holding hands. You saw it!” He spoke, exasperated. He then lowered his head in disappointment. “Oh I ruined it… didn’t I?”

“No you didn’t.” I reassured my beloved soulmate. “We’re still in an early phase of this job. You didn’t fail, okay?” He didn’t respond but it was clear he was already upset and annoyed. “How about we go to our room?”
