Karl POV.

I could sense the two humans in the other rooms, and their emotions were racing everywhere. Part of me wanted to go and check on them, but I resisted. Yet as I sat there the feeling of their emotions dragging along my insides continued clawing at me.
“Dove, are you okay?” I blinked over at Sapnap, who watched me patiently.

“I’m fine.” I reassured, my head turned in the direction of Dream’s room. That was the place this whirlpool of emotions emanated from.”I can just sense them.” My voice was airy, not quite there, and Sapnap’s brows furrowed as he watched me.
“You’ve always been able to sense them.” He reminded me.

All I could do was nod, not moving my head at all from the position it was in, wanting to keep focusing on the mixture. “They are…” I took a moment to focus, to think. “They are happy, and sad, and angry, and confused, and anxious.” Each of the listed emotions were spoken with a monotone firmness.

Sapnap studied me, not saying anything. Seraphin’s were not able to read emotions, and so he had to wait and listen for me to explain it. I took a few moments, processing over everything, before I finally explained it to him.

“Maybe it’s just because I have never stayed this close to them.” I guessed. “But it feels like a lot of emotions… too many emotions.” A hand moved to my back, one belonging to my soulmate. It was a sign of reassurance, and a willingness to listen to what I had to say. My eyes closed and I took a few deep breaths, continuing to spiral in emotions.

“They are both upset… but happy? They love each other and at the same time they are annoyed?” I was confused. Most of the emotions conflicted with one another, it didn’t make any sense. Sapnap continued to hold me as I thought. “It just seems weird.”
“Well…” He chuckled. “Humans are weird.”

I nodded. Humans were weird, just like he said. He continued. “Perhaps it is normal for them to feel like that when others aren’t around.” Perhaps it was a good thing that they felt this mixture of emotions. Perhaps it was another sign of love if they are happy and sad around each other. I didn’t say anything aloud, just thinking this over. I did hope that he was right though.

The contact given by the ravenette stayed on me, which I leaned into. “You are so cute.” He made sure to remind me. “And it is so sweet that you are worried about them, but I bet they are fine.” Some warm fingers brushed themselves through my hair, comforting me.

I loved the feeling, and it continued to calm my anxieties, something which I was sure Sapnap knew despite not being a mind reader like myself. We embraced on the bed, for now we weren’t caring about anything else other than each other. Yes it was bad when our job was to get soulmates together, but taking five minutes off for us was fine.

As we embraced the two of us began to kiss, getting somewhat intimate with one another. Neither of us were in the mood to talk for now, our arms hugging one another as I gripped desperately at him. “It’ll be good for us to go home soon.” I smiled, teeth flashing against his pale skin. “Have a home to ourselves.”

“I know.” He nodded, nipping at my neck and shocking me at the heat. “I’m not used to sharing a house with other people, especially an angel and two humans.”
“Yes, I know.” I hummed. His arms held me, moving us to lay down and our lips interlocked with a quick make-out session.

I could hear the sound of our lips moving against one another, wetness from our saliva. It was disgusting, yet hot. Me and my soulmate doing this was absolutely hot. My arms continued to hold him securely, and we kissed and giggled as though we were only two hundred.

“Dove.” He whispered the pet name, sending flames into the air alongside it. Speaking of flames, it did cause me to heat up. “What are you wanting to do?” He asked me. His voice was airy, attractive, something that I had fallen in love with dozens of times over the decades.
“This.” I giggled, connecting our lips once again and pushing myself further into him.

I rolled him over, somehow managing to despite the position that he had pinned me down in, and he was laying beneath me with my legs on either side of his chest. It was so attractive to see him beneath me for the first time in a while. We continued to make out, with me reading every emotion that streamed out of his beautiful head.

My hands moved to start tugging off his shirt, taking a faint moment to make sure nobody was going to overhear us. “Think about it…” I seductively hummed, feeling my cheeks glow as I continued to pull off the clothing of the ravenette. “Soon you and I will be able to go home, and we won’t have to worry about anyone else. Maybe we should take some time off…”

“That might be good.” He agreed, his own fingers moving to my shirt to pull at it. “I mean… if we do well here… which we did… perhaps Phil would give us his job.” I nodded, remembering what it was that Philza had told us before taking this assignment. It would be amazing to have that opportunity, and to have a time to relax instead of always running off to match up soulmates.

“But we didn’t do our jobs.” I reminded him. “Techno did.” I took a moment to lean back, the back of my legs pressing against his waist. “That's why we contacted him.”
His brows furrowed, feeling upset, but he nodded at me. “Yeah, you are right, Techno does deserve it, I guess.”

Techno POV.

I sat up and answered the phone call. "How did you get this number?" I asked, voice harsh, not excited about this kind of call.
"From Sapnap and Karl." The voice responded. "And they've told me about what you've been doing, Techno."

“And what have I been doing, father?” I asked him, feeling annoyed. My free hand clutched at the neck of the bottle of vodka. My annoyance was directed to Karl and Sapnap for talking about me without my permission, and towards Philza for calling me in the first place. “What have I done that is so important you decided to contact me for the first time in centuries.”

“You gave good suggestions.” There was a brief pause between each word that the blond said, ones that took way too long. “They told me about how your unconventional efforts helped them to get their newest clients together.”
