More adjectives for the guest, I guess.

Techno POV.

There was a knock on the door, and I rolled my eyes. I was not in the mood to talk to anyone right now. The pair of angels had been annoying me with the phone call that they made, and I knew my pair of human friends could be quite inquisitive, annoyingly inquisitive. I was not wanting to deal with either of them.

“What?” I gruffly asked, allowing my eyes to close as I sighed. “What do you want?” When there wasn’t an immediate response I figured that whoever was there had taken note of my tone and left. Instead they cautiously began muttering to me.

“Uh… Techno.” Dream’s awkward voice piped up. It sounded as though he wasn’t too sure about what he wanted to say, making me think that it wasn’t a simple ‘dinner is ready’ or something. “Someone is here to talk to you.”
“Is it the police again?” I questioned.

Dream and George both knew the rule. If the police did turn up to talk to me, my roommates were supposed to say that I was away from the house, with a rotation of different excuses ranging from ‘visiting family in California’ to ‘dead’. “No it’s not the police.” He was awkward. “It is… well the guy says that he is your father.”

“My… what?” I paled at the idea. After I blocked him he must have come looking for me. I… there were no other options that could have been reasonable. “But my father is in California.” I tried to reason. There was no point to the lie, since he knew that I was an angel, and my family and I were not from California.

“He is here.” The blond opened the door, peeking through the crack to look at me with his head lowered slightly. “He says his name is Philza, and I believe he has a gift for you.”
“Tell him I’m not here.” I was quick to say, sitting up and hurrying to the door. “That I am out in town, or busy working, or dead.”

“I think that he knows you are here.” Dream’s voice grew quiet, awkward. “We didn’t know what to do and currently George is downstairs with him.”
“Dammit.” I lowly growled. “Why would you two let him in? He’s a fucking asshole!”

“We didn’t know that, we’re sorry.” He pushed the door open more. I saw the guilt, the exasperated guilt, which creased his face. I couldn’t truly be mad at him for this when he knew nothing about the fact that I didn’t want my father around. They didn’t know why or anything like that, and so I couldn’t be mad at them, at least not right now.

“Fine.” I grumbled. It wasn’t fair to leave George sitting downstairs with the evil madman, even if the pair totally deserved it for allowing him into the house. “But you two owe me.” I made sure to let him know. “Maybe pay for dinner the next time I want to order food, or come on a bedwars stream and let me beat you for views.”

The blond nodded and allowed me to walk past him, heading downstairs. With the super hearing of angels I knew that Philza probably heard some of the things I was saying. I sighed as I descended to the kitchen and living room where the man that I loathed more than almost anyone was sitting there.

“Are you sure that I can’t offer you anything?” George awkwardly asked, standing in front of the blond monster with his hands neatly behind his back. “A drink, or a snack?”
“No thank you.” The other angel responded, then his gaze shifted over to me and his face brightened up. “Techno?”

“Hello Phil.” I spoke through gritted teeth. I didn’t attempt to show any niceness, any respect towards him at all. After the way he treated me and my job over the past millennia I didn’t believe that I owed him anything. Without saying anything else I briefly snapped my attention over to Dream and George, giving them a look which told them to leave.

Dream looked over me and nodded, before he left he set his phone face down on the table next to the door. “I hope that it goes well for… both of you.” He smiled. Then Dream took George’s hand and led him up the stairs. I watched as they disappeared before hearing a voice behind me. “Are they in a relationship? The smaller one says that they aren’t but I’m not so sure.”

“His name is George.” I was quick to inform him, not surprising that he didn’t know despite the fact they were clients of the Cupids. He didn’t actually care about them. I pivoted on my heel to look at my father. What are you doing here?” I asked him. “You know very well that I don’t want to see you, unless you forgot our phone calls ten minutes ago.”

He didn't acknowledge what I had said to him, instead still questioning my two human friends who were already gone. “Now Techno, one of them called me an angel.” He informed me. “I played it off, but did you tell humans about the fact that angels exist? I thought I raised you better.”

“Actually George figured it out himself.” I informed him. “The two of them are quite intelligent.” At least they were intelligent some of the time. I just wanted to show off my two clients to prove to my father that I was a good Guardian Angel, in charge of good humans.

Instead of Philza being proud though he still seemed disappointed, shaking his head with a sigh.
“He never would have figured it out if you kept your distance like a normal Guardian Angel, or if you were only here as a cupid.” I rolled my eyes, and it seemed that my father realised I was not going to put up with this. He offered out the box he’d been holding.

“I have a gift for you, since I’ve surely missed a lot of your birthdays.” The man reminded me, eyes glowing brighter as he spoke. “How many centuries has it been since I was with you to celebrate? Ten? Eleven?”

“It’s been fifteen centuries.” I informed him. “Because for the past fifteen centuries you have tried to tell me that being a cupid is the only thing that I should be allowed to do, all because you want to mold me into the next you.”
“No Techno, I want to help you flourish.” His grey eyes swirled to a bright green as he spoke.

The power was never one to entertain me, since it was only considered a basic power and not overly impressive. I rolled my eyes. “No, you don’t want to help me flourish, and I do not want whatever gift you have for me.” If I was closer to him I would have whacked the box, unfortunately that wasn’t an option.

“ᛈᛚᛠᛋᛖ ᛏᛖᚳᚻᚾᚩ.” He kept quiet, stepping towards me. “I want you to have a good life, and being Head Cupid could give you that life, and give us the chance to bond.”
“I do not want to bond with you.” I spoke adamantly. “If you are still looking for a Head Cupid, which I expect you are, then go with Sapnap and Karl.”

“Why would I want the two of them to take the role of Head Cupid?” Philza scoffed, his eyes changing from vibrant green to a blood red like mine. “They are idiots, I hate both of them.”
“I wouldn’t say that if I were you, Phil.” I pointed out, my head twitching to look in the direction of the stairs.

“And why wouldn’t I?” Philza asked. “If it weren’t for the rules against firing angels I would have put them out of a job centuries ago.”
“And people wonder where I get my cruelty.” I spoke under my breath, before beginning to smile at him. “But anyway, I wouldn’t say that because they are upstairs.”
