Man this has been the lamest build up ever, 5 chapters leading up to them talking lol.

Also the angels are separate from Christian angels within this story, just letting you all know.

George POV.

My body was pressed up against Dream’s, not wanting to be too far apart as we sat on one couch and the three… angels… sat on the other. They’d been pulled to face one another by the blond, and all three of our housemates sat patiently.

None of us wanted to be the first ones to talk. After waiting for only a few hours for this all of us were wanting to get it over with, yet none of us knew where to start. That was strange after all, since I had been thinking for hours about how this conversation was going to go. Now though, as they all looked over at us my mind was going blank.

So I just looked over towards Dream, figuring it would be good for him to start. It was his house after all, and his ‘Dream Team’, and he had become Techno’s friend first. My hand slid across from my lap to his, another way to motivate him, resting in a fist on his left leg. From the corner of my eye as I looked away I saw him glance down at my hand.

“So… um… can you tell us what exactly you are?” The blond asked eventually, his gaze drifting up towards the group opposite us.
“We are angels.” Sapnap just stated. That was something we’d already been told. It was something we’d already seen with Karl. It wasn’t a good enough answer.

“More than that.” The blond instructed, his tone low. I shifted to look over at Dream momentarily before looking away once again.
“Well there is not much more to say.” Karl added, hand moving to rest on Sapnap’s lap. “We are just… angels… winged creatures like in your Bibles.”

The Bible. When I had first found them as non-humans that had been my first thought. The Bible was a place with angels, clearly the most clear connection between them and existence. It made me wonder if that proved all of those stories, of a creator and a God. But the phrase ‘like the creatures in your Bibles made me believe it wasn’t true, at least not in the way we thought.

I looked over towards Techno, thinking that perhaps my friend for years would be more to give useful information. He caught my gaze, and from through his eyes I could see wheels turning in his head, working like a machine, thinking what to say.

“Humans are similar to us.” He told me and Dream. “That is why we look like you, can live as humans, when we hide our wings. You evolved from us, you lost your wings.”
“Really?” Dream’s gaze narrowed. “I don’t believe it.”
“Would I lie to you?” Like a machine his gaze shifted to Dream.

“Yes you would.” It was something we all knew, he did it all the time. But he never did it with something as important as this.
“You evolved and lost your wings.” Techno continued. “You fell to Earth.”
“That’s what our legends say at the least. Humans fell to Earth.” Karl nodded.

“That sounds like a stupid legend.” A hint of hostility was in Dream’s tone, but he quickly realised this and dropped it. “Just doubt I’d ever have wings.”
“Anyway regardless of how it happened you don’t have wings and we do, and we have similar enough ancestry to look alike.” Sapnap shrugged.

The three on the couch continued to explain, talking about all sorts of things such as wings changing, living on clouds, and other things that I knew nothing about. All that I could do was nod along with uncertainty, feeling my brain hurt as the rattled off scientific sounding terms I didn't understand.

Dream was either thinking the same thing as me or he noticed how lost I was in the moment. "So… you are angels." He sighed, accepting it after what they kept talking about. "But why are you here? Why are there three angels staying in my house?" That was a very valid question and I nodded alongside him.

"We are touring human countries and wanted to stay in a human house."
"You thought I was awesome and talented, so you invited me."
"There is a work conference that we are here to… work at."
All three of them spoke over each other, coming up with different reasons.

"The truth." Dream sighed. He sounded like a disappointed parent, something that actually made me giggle before lowering my head awkwardly. "Especially for you too, you. You are dating and both of you have different stories." His gaze narrowed at Karl and Sapnap, both of whom were shocked.

"How did you know that we were…" Karl glanced at Sapnap’s hand which was resting on his lap and a glow spread along his face like a fever. "Um… Nevermind." Techno chuckled at the pair of them, giving both of the angels a smug side-eye at their exposure. Yet then the attention was turned to him.

Both me and Dream just studied the pink haired man. His hair was pink and somehow he never dyed it. His hand moved at inhuman speeds when we played minecraft. He was way too insightful for a minecraft player from California. We should have honestly figured this out much earlier.

"Please don't be mad, at us or at Techno." Karl's voice was littered with guilt. “Sapnap and I just all really admire both of you humans. So that is why we came here. There’s not more that we can really say.” His voice showed that there was more he was wanting to say, but he didn’t.

My hand moved to Dream’s, looking over at him and we read one another from eye contact. Both of us knew that we trusted them. They were our friends, even if they were not human (which is a big thing to keep hidden). All three of them were sitting tensely, straight backs and stiff shoulders, waiting for us to leave our silent conversation to talk to them.

“We trust you.” The blond voiced, and I stayed silent. However I leaned closer to him, listening patiently as he talked to the group. They visibly relaxed, and I looked back to Techno, seeing the way he looked towards us with hands clutched patiently on his lap.

I studied him, thinking about how he was an angel after all our years of friendship. How he was someone who had guided both myself and Dream, helping us with…
“Holy shit.” My voice was low as I came to the conclusion. Dream looked towards me, giving my hand a squeeze, Karl and Sapnap also watched me. I didn’t look away from Techno though.

“What?” He asked gruffly, gaze not showing any emotion.
“You are a guardian angel… aren’t you?”
