Dream POV.

A frown was on my face as I watched intently at the situation. George and Techno were both playing bedwars together on one of Techno’s youtube streams, talking to one another happily and to the people in the comments. They both sounded much happier than they had been in the past few days talking to one another.

All sorts of comments were passed back and forth, with them talking and laughing so much that you couldn’t hear the rampant clicking of Techno’s computer mouse in the background. George didn’t seem to really care about the game, lingering by the base and focusing on defence, yet the pink haired man did as he went on the attack.

I watched as they answered questions of all varieties. ‘Did you enjoy the convention?’ ‘Are you guys gonna stream some more?’ ‘You both enjoy living in Florida?’. There were questions about everyone and everything except me. That hurt, both of the things I noticed hurt.

We were the Dream Team, a group of three friends, and yet they were streaming with one another and hadn’t even mentioned to me, the only way I found out was the notification on my phone. And nobody watching cared to notice. Perhaps it was wrong for me to get this overworked for that, but I was getting overworked nonetheless.

Despite getting the notification on my phone I had begun watching it on my computer, part of me considered joining minecraft and managing to take part in their game. Perhaps it would give the audience a laugh if I found them and kicked their asses on their own game, but I didn’t. Instead I just watched quietly.

“Okay… how about another question.” George grinned widely and I noticed his character freeze on top of their bed defence. “This is a repeat but quite a few people have been asking about it, so this’ll be the last time we answer hopefully. ‘Where have you guys been?’.” He began running again as he talked.

“Well we have both missed you guys, but we’ve been quite busy after the convention with our relationships and stuff.” Techno explained with a knowing tone. It felt as though he and George were talking and sharing a secret, something which I wished that I knew. They were entitled to their secrets obviously, and I knew most of what was going on in their lives… but.

The commenters were also in the dark, and I quickly noticed the way that ‘relationship’ started a fire of comments, all talking about my relationship with George. All of them suggested that the relationship was a certain ‘DreamnotFound’.

I did have a different idea, the relationship seemed to be involving Karl. That surprised me, since last night and this morning George had come to me for comfort after messing up his date. Now they were apparently in a relationship of some kind that they were teasing the audience with.

"What he said." Techno basically grunted, not paying too much attention as he rapidly clicked during combat with a player in iron armour. He let out a hum of satisfaction before going on to continue his battle with another passing player. That was all the care he gave to the question before fighting once again.

My fingers moved to the keyboard, beginning to type out something without me thinking at all. I was planning on sending it, knowing my name would catch George's attention as it always does. Then perhaps I'd guilt him for not letting me know what secret they shared, or for not including me.

But before I finished typing out something witty yet insulting under the surface, I paused. This made me feel guilty, ironic since the intention was to make him feel guilty. Yet no matter how I wanted to embarrass him I couldn't do that. The love I had for the brunette would not allow me to send the message into the chat.

Still I watched the way the bar appeared and disappeared at rhythm. Several times I tried to come up with something else to say to my pair of friends, to no avail. I finally gave up when the game ended and just shut down my computer. The betrayal at the fact they continued to play without me, without any mention of me, made me sink.

My head rested in my hands, taking dedicated time to rub my eyes with a sigh. Perhaps I was still over thinking it, and George and Techno weren’t intentionally avoiding me while talking or recording themselves playing bedwars.

“Perhaps they hate me.” I muttered to myself. “They just see me as some weirdo who is in love with his best friend. So they want to push me out of the Dream Team.” They couldn’t, and rationally I knew that they wouldn’t either. Still the way that they, the way that everyone, had been acting recently, was strange.

Eventually I stood up, figuring that it was not for the best for me to sit here moping and instead I’d go for a walk and have some fresh air. However the moment that I opened the door I came face to face with my new arch-enemy. Karl was standing in the hallway, and he glanced over in my diffraction the moment he saw me step out.

“”Oh Dream… hey.” He grinned happily, quickly closing the distance so he could interact with me. “I hadn’t seen you all day, I was wondering how you were.”
“I’m fine.” I brushed the brunette off, walking past him to attempt to head downstairs. Much to my annoyance though he followed me.

“I was wondering if I could talk to you about something.” He continued to follow me as I headed to the kitchen, and I tried to ignore him yet it was almost impossible. It was as if the brunette had some aura radiating off of him to remind me that he was there. “Dream… please can we talk?” He asked, sounding so innocent when I just wanted to be left alone. “Please?”

“Now isn’t the best time.” I explained, throwing open the fridge and intently focusing on what food was there so I could get something to eat or drink. “Maybe talk to me… I don’t know… never.” Karl was caught off guard, but his demeanour didn’t change and he went back to smiling at me.

“Are you sure?” He asked, and I gave one nod as I grabbed a can of monster for me to drink.
“Yes, I am needing to go on a walk.” I told him, making it sound as though it was a chore that I had to do instead of something I was willingly doing to avoid talking to him and give myself space to think.

“Oh… may I join you?” He questioned, cocking his head to the side with his innocent smile.
“No sorry, just a me thing.” I was quick and firm to respond, walking over to the door and pulling on the first pair of shoes that I grabbed.
“But if you are walking, an energy drink probably won’t be the best.” He pointed out.

My brows furrowed and I sighed, passing him the can. “Then you can drink it.” I told him. “I’ll probably see you at dinner.” He didn’t get the opportunity to say anything else as I walked out of the building.
