Karl POV.

"Stop it." I whined as Sapnap continued to tease me. His lips were on my neck which was already pretty marked up from all of his other kisses and gentle bites. I didn't want the other's in the house to see evidence of how lustful we were, and he was just leaving more evidence. It would be difficult to hide.

"Sorry Dove." He sounded completely solemn, yet continued to kiss desperately at me in different places. "I can't help it when you look so attractive."
"Stop being so vain." I added on. Marks of any kind disappear faster on angel skin than human skin, yet I didn't want to risk them being present for everyone to see.

We continued to embrace one another lovingly, nuzzling and kissing and being coy to one another. It was amazing for us to be able to hold each other. “I have missed being able to do this.” Sapnap hummed to me, his breath warm against my neck.
“Missed what? We were cuddling this morning.”

He let out a ‘hmph’ing noise, and I felt his soft hair rubbing against the back of my neck. “Too long ago.” I heard him murmur, and my face was painted with a red blush.
“You are insane.” I muttered, yet I couldn’t help but agree with him.

After a while of cuddling we moved to look each other in the eyes, both thinking the same thing (trust me I checked). I leaned in to kiss him but was cut off one one-billionth of an inch from his lips. Someone had banged on the door, each strike against the surface sounding like a crack of lightning.

"Karl! Sapnap!" The loud voice cried out, one of fury and ferociousness that we both recognised. Neither of us dared to move, and I think the harshness made the Seraphim beside me shake a little, not that he'd admit it out loud.

"What should we do?" I whispered over, although it seemed like my boyfriend wouldn't be much help. "Should we- should we answer it? Talk to him?"
"Are you crazy?" He hissed back. "If we answer it he'll kill us."
"I doubt he'd kill us…" I attempted, but it didn't reassure him.

"Open the door right now or I will break it down." The pinkette threatened loudly, and my eyes widened. Surely he wouldn't. Right? I mean, his friend did own the house.
“Maybe we could fly out the window.” Sapnap quickly offered. “Hide on the roof, or downstairs.” All I could do was shake my head.

“If you try to run I will find both of you.” Techno informed us, either hearing the quiet suggestion or. “Would you rather have this conversation once I’ve tied you up, or talk like adults in the doorway?” He waited for a moment, then it sounded like he got closer to the door.
“I’m coming!” I called out, jumping out of bed in an instant.

Sapnap let out a squeak which sounded like a cry of 'don't die', which was coincidentally exactly what I was planning on doing. After shooting an annoyed glance back at my soulmate I cautiously reached for the door handle. It was cold, a surprise when I sensed the burning anger that was radiating through it.

I opened the door and subconsciously dropped into a panic. "Goodafternoontechno." I quickly blurted, before taking a long embarrassing moment to take a breath. "I… I mean good afternoon Techno." It was awkward, so damn awkward. My gaze was down so I didn't have to look into his judging eyes.

"Can I… help you with anything?" My voice was high and hopeful, despite being able to tell exactly how he felt. Perhaps though, it was anger directed at someone or something else. I definitely didn't want to have to risk annoying an archangel. The thought of doing so made me shake hard enough to dislodge my feathers.

Legends also existed around the way that they treated individuals who annoyed them. One existed that humans were once angels who irritated the archangels enough to get their wings ripped and thrown out of the sky. Then the archangels ate their wings. I didn't want to have my wings ripped off and eaten.

Eventually I managed to convince myself to look back into his eyes, which I immediately regretted as I was met with swirling pools of demonic red. He was annoyed, and I regretted everything in my life up until that point as I looked at him.

"Which one of you assholes gave my contact information to Philza?" His voice snarled at the name, pure anger directed at the blond cupid. I wondered what exactly caused the hostility. I took a moment to fully process what he had asked me, before glancing over towards Sapnap. "Well? I'm waiting."

My soulmate, who was always so loving and protective of me, was silent. "We mentioned your name." I eventually explained. "When we wrote a report updating the HQ on what was happening. We mentioned that we had help from a Guardian Angel called Techno." I refused to look at him.

"And how did they know to contact me?" He questioned, eyes narrow as he closed the distance between us with firm steps. "Somehow they had my phone number."
"They are angels." Sapnap quickly pointed out. "They have magic."
"Not magic that can give out phone numbers." The pinkette assured him.

Karl assured me. "We only put in the information that was required of us. Plus when we do have help from other angels we like to send them a gift basket…"
"...I don't like anything they put in the damn gift baskets." He glowed in the middle of my sentence.

I continued. "...and it is an opportunity to learn more techniques, so we contact other angels for any tips. So that we can learn and adapt."
"I know Cupids." He told us. "They don't learn shit."
"We learn stuff!" Sapnap defended us.

The pinkette’s head cocked to the side, almost seeming interested in what the ravenette had said. "I am not talking about you. I'm talking about Philza." He glowered, spitting at the name as though it was a disease. Then, still feeling disgusted, he repeated, "ᛒᚼᛁᛚᛋᛅ."

"You know ᛒᚼᛁᛚᛋᛅ?" Sapnap asked, shocking both of us. The two just seemed like perfect magnetic opposites, never being near each other. Yet he claims to know the head cupid, and it seemed that it wasn't known for a good reason.

"I know him and I hate him." The voice was firm. "Part of the reason I came to the human world was to get away from that dumb jerk."
"Don't you ever call him dumb!"
"He is a respected angel, not a jerk!"

Techno wasn't entertained, or worried, or anything. He just watched us. We blubbered on for a while, insulted by his words, feeling defensive of the head Cupid. He was planning on retiring soon and we didn't want his legacy ruined by statements by the pinkette.

"Why would you even hate him?" I was able to eventually ask, after all he was a great man who had helped many.
His eyes shifted to look towards me, through me. It was an uncomfortable feeling "Because he's my father."
