"WAIT" you called out desperately to the boy. As expected, he turned around in annoyance.
"Bakugou Katsuki?"
"How'd you know my name, extra? Who are you?"
"Don't you recognise me? Wow, I'm offended, man"
Sighing, he took a closer look. His face contorted into a look of pure shock.
"Y-Y/N?"

Mitsuki sobbed when she laid eyes on you. She smothered you half to death. "Oh Y/N! It's been so long! How have you been. Why didn't you ever visit or even call? We've missed you so much!" She bombarded you with countless questions.

She sat you down in the living room and insisted that you stay for dinner. You tried to refuse but all your efforts were in vain.

Bakugou, on the other hand, was still staring at you awestruck. He couldn't believe it. He was malfunctioning. You couldn't tell if it was happiness, anger, hatred or frustration.

The truth was, you and Bakugou had been close childhood friends. You were his next door neighbour and you would go to kindergarten together. He was your best friend. All your earliest memories were of mainly just him. But you had to move away when you were 6.....when your family passed in a tragic car accident. You were the only survivor.

You were forced to move away to be taken in by your grandmother. You, of course, did not want to leave but you had no choice. You were determined though. You would study hard to become a hero and return to UA and you had done it.

That was why UA was helping you out with the move.

Mitsuki had prepared ramen for supper. If you were recalling correctly, it was Bakugou's favourite. Mitsuki and Masaru talked with you throughout dinner curious to know everything they had missed. You used to be like their daughter before you moved away.

"I'm in class 1A," you replied to one of their questions. "Oh, Lord!" Exclaimed Mitsuki, "That's Katsuki's class, is it not?" "Yeah," he replied softly. "That's wonderful, the two of you!"

Your heart fluttered with joy. You were going to go to the school of your dreams with Bakugou! But your smile faded when you glanced at him. He seemed so nonchalant, like he didn't even care. Your heart sank as you looked away and continued your conversation with his parents. Maybe he just didn't feel the same anymore. Maybe he didn't think of you as a friend. Maybe he was upset with you for leaving and resented you for coming back after all these years.

After dinner, when Mitsuki was satisfied with the 'catching up', you said your goodbyes and made your way back home. You layed on your cold mattress feeling disappointed.

You knew it was creepy, but you peered into Bakugou's house, right into his room and you saw him. You jumped and quickly ducked, frightened. Your eyes met. He was staring into your house. He saw you and you saw him. Panic began to rise within your chest but you pushed it away and went to bed.

Nightmares plagued your thoughts even in your sleep. Meeting the Bakugous, wandering around the city had brought back some unwanted memories of your past.

After continuously failing at getting some peaceful sleep, you made your way down the stairs, outside your house. You wandered around the area in between yours and Bakugou's bedroom. The beautiful sakura tree. It grew in between the fence between Bakugou's and your houses. You rested your back against its trunk and closed your eyes as the exhaustion caught up to you and you were enveloped by deep sleep.

You began to recall how you and Bakugou had planted that tree together.

"Banyan trees are so cool!" He had exclaimed, eyes filled with pure ecstasy. "They have these awesome roots that don't even go under the ground. Hey, Y/N! If we plant a tree like that at my house we don't have to go to the park with the jungle gym anymore! We could climb the banyan tree!"

"Hey! No fair Katsu! Why do you get to keep the tree? Let's plant it in my house!" You had retorted.

And so, the two of you had ended up planting the tree in the gap between your fence. Bakugou had claimed that he knew how banyan tree seeds looked like and had purchased them from somewhere. You bad had your doubts but decided to trust him anyway.

It was a sakura tree.
