Him Again (Bakugou Katsuki x Reader)

26. Hero names

You were at Bakugou's house, sitting in the living room with him and his parents.

"Y/N! It's been so long!" Mitsuki said. You had seen her that morning. "It has!" You said, smiling at her. "Stay for dinner! I insist"

You tried to refuse but ofcourse, it was useless. Lasagna. Your mouth watered at the sight.

"Did you prepare it, Katsu?" You asked him, when you took a bite.
"Yeah. Had to make it borderline tasteless for you losers with no spice tolerance" He scoffed.
"How'd you know Y/N?" Mitsuki asked you.
"It tastes like his cooking." You said.
"How do you know what that tastes like?" You froze.

Bakugou had been making you breakfast, lunch and dinner every single day since you were discharged. You couldn't make it to Marlo's and you were frankly broke. You hadn't told Bakugou that but he knew somehow.

"Oh- uh It just seems a little too spicy to be yours, that's all!" You rambled.
"You find it spicy?" He asked
"No, it's perf-... I mean yes-"
"Oh. I'll add less next time.

Why the heck was he not getting the hint? You glared at him. He finally seemed to get it. "Oh yeah, I did make it a little spicy. That's probably how she knew....?" He said, looking at you, questionably. You nodded back. He looked relieved.

Mitsuki's eyes darted back and forth between the two of you, skeptically.

You returned to school a few days later. Your classmates were excited to see you and they began talking about your performance at the Sports Festival.

"The final match is supposed to be the highlight of the Festival but oh man! The semi-finals were epic! You were so manly out there, Y/N!" Karishma exclaimed, flashing you a toothy grin.

"Uh...Thanks?"

"The match between Midoriya and Todoroki was a big hit but the one between you and Bakugou was off the charts!" Yaoyorozu said.

"Yeah it's going viral everyone. It's the most trending video on youtube." Mina added.

"Who thought Bakugou would get famous with his shit personality?" Kaminari said. The mention of his name seemed to make Bakugou's ears twitch.

"HAAH? WHAT'D YOU SAY ABOUT ME?" He howled, walking over. "C'mon you know you have a horrible personality." He mocked him. "I'm shocked you're going viral. Your girlfriend, I can understand but-"

"SHE'S NOT MY GIRLFRIEND!" He yelled, earning skeptical looks from everyone. "ILL BURN YOU UP, PIKACHU!"

"Sure she's not. You just happen to walk home together holding hands everyday." Bakugou looked just about ready to roast him alive.

"Did you see how he picked her up and took her to recovery girl right away, after she passed out?" Sero joined in. "He didn't even go himself!"

Your face went completely red. He had lifted you up? In front of everybody? Your face was burning. You wanted to die.

Before Bakugou could say anything, Midnight walked in, quieting the class.

The class was picking hero names. You had no idea what you were going to choose. You looked at Bakugou, utterly confused but he seemed to be confidently scribbling something down.

You watched a few of your classmates walked up. Aoyama had chosen the name "I Cannot Stop Twinkling." You snorted, clutching your stomach, laughing at the name.

While you were still recovering from your hysteria, Bakugou walked up and chose the name 'King Explosion Murder.' You nearly fell out of your seat as you laughed even harder. He glared at you shutting you up right away.

He was obviously rejected but when he went back up once again, he chose an even more ridiculous name. "LORD EXPLOSION MURDER." He declared, confidential. Tears streamed down your face as you doubled over, howling in laughter once again.

He gave you a harsh glare again as he took his seat. You stood up and walked up to the front of the class.

"Tempest." You suggested. Everyone seemed to like it and Midnight gave you a thumbs up.

Midoriya selected "Deku," making Bakugou scoff. Todoroki and Iida just picked their first names. Class got over soon after.

"Damn Midnight wouldn't let me pick the best names ever."
"Katsu." You shook your head.
"What?"
"They were awful."
"Oh yeah? You suggest one!"
"Hmm... Boom boom boy." You snickered. He rolled his eyes.
"Bakuboom. Blasty boy. I know! Blond Bombshell!" You mocked him. He was about to yell at you. "YOU LITTLE-"

"Dynamite." You suggested. His eyes lit up but he didn't seem completely satisfied.
"Tch. Dynamite is too simple." Bakugou grumbled. "I know!"
"Yeah?"
"GREAT EXPLOSION MURDER GOD DYNAMITE!" He said proudly, earning him a smack. "No!"

The two of you were walking out of school but someone stopped you.

"L/N Y/N. Have you decided on who you're going with for your internship?" Your eyes widened. It was pro hero Endeavor.

"You're Todoroki's father." You said. "No, I haven't yet."
"I hope you'll make the right choice. You should accompany me. I would like to have a word with you."
