Him Again (Bakugou Katsuki x Reader)

18. Let the Games Begin

The long awaited Sports Festival had arrived. Bakugou and Y/N were beyond excited.

The class was in the Class 1A waiting room. Bakugou seemed to be behaving a little weirdly towards you. Is he mad about something? You wondered.

Bakugou glanced at you and looked away, blushing. He wasn't mad. He was thinking about last night.

The previous night-

When you got home from your shift, you noticed that Bakugou had left his jacket behind in your room. You messaged Bakugou and peered into his window but his lights were dimmed.

Sighing, you decided to take a bath and head straight to bed.

Bakugou stirred into consciousness when he heard his cell beep. Who the heck was messaging him at this late hour? It was you.

'you up?' Your message read. After a while, he gathered up the willpower to hoist himself off the bed. He looked outside the window and into your bedroom. Your light was on but you didn't seem to be there.

Then he saw your bathroom door swing open. You walked out. Your hair was soaking wet, falling across your back and he couldn't help but admire the curves of your body. You had a towel tightly wrapped around your body. And he hated to admit it but he wished it wasn't there.

As though the Gods had heard his prayer, you loosened your grasp on your towel and began to ditch it completely.

Before he could see any further, however, he hurriedly drew his curtains and threw himself into bed. He fell asleep that night with thoughts of you plaguing his mind.

Bakugou was staring at you, his face tomato red as you spoke to Mina and Yaoyorozu. You were laughing about something but he just kept picturing you in a thin towel....

He quickly pushed the thought away as everyone began rushing outside. There was no time for this.

The UA sports festival was about to commence

Midnight was the chief umpire. She called upon Bakugou to deliver a pledge. You facepalmed, knowing he was going to say something vile.

Just as you had predicted, Bakugou walked up and said, "i pledge... To become number one."

The entire stadium broke into chaos as they booed at Bakugou. That idiot. You sighed.

And with that, the sports festival began.

First was the obstacle race. Right away, Todoroki froze up the path and slid ahead, leaving everybody in his wake slipping on the ice.

Bakugou easily began creating explosions in his hand which blew him upwards, giving him momentum, avoiding the ice.

You had it the easiest. You simply summoned a dark rain cloud and let it carry you across. You laid down on it and would just zap anybody who got close.

You flew over all the commotion in a breeze (literally) and you began leading in no time.

Bakugou looking up at you. He should have been mad, got agitated but he just smirked at you, proud of your wits.

You then heard a huge blast from miles behind you. You looked back and were shook to see a Midoriya flying towards you on a piece of metal at a high speed.

"Y/NNNNNN" He yelled as he rammed straight into your cloud, hard, dissipating it completely, causing you to begin falling towards the ground from the sky.

Oh no you don't! You thought and you grabbed onto Midoriya's shirt, pulling yourself onto his back, causing him to lose balance. It seemed like he was planning on using Todoroki and Bakugou as a landing to get ahead but you foiled his plans.

Sorry, Katsu! You thought as you let Midoriya fall on Bakugou and Todoroki you summoned a gust of wind which boosted you ahead.

"The first person to finish is...." You heard Present Mic say, "L/N Y/N!" You breathed a sigh of relief.

Soon after you, Todoroki, Bakugou and Midoriya arrived. "Y/N!" Bakugou yelled. "YOU OVERTOOK ME AND FINISHED FIRST."

"If you're done stating the obvious, can we go get some water now?" You remarked.

"YOU WON'T GET A CHANCE TO BEAT ME AGAIN, YOU GOT THAT?" He said but followed you, to get refreshed.
