52. The Big Three

You woke up the next morning to banging on Katsuki's door. Katsuki was asleep with his head resting in the crook of your neck. He looked so peaceful when he was asleep even through all the knocking. Only when he was asleep though. You got up and peeked outside through the peephole. Shit. It was Aizawa along with an injured Midoriya. If he found out you stayed the night in Katsuki's room you didn't know what he would do.

Katsuki woke up to the noise too. "Aizawa's here!" You hissed. "Fuck." His eyes widened.

Without wasting another second, he grabbed your hand and shoved you into his closet, shooting you a sympathetic look. You hated this but you had no other option.

You heard Katsuki open the door. You heard some talking and they soon left. "Yikes." You said, stepping out. Aizawa seemed really mad.

You later found out that Aizawa had penalised Katsuki and Midoriya, giving them cleaning duty for 4 and 3 days respectively and putting them under house arrest.

You sat in class, utterly bored. Midoriya was back but Katsuki was still on house arrest. You never realised just how uninteresting the class was without him. He always managed to keep it entertaining for you.

Principal Nezu had announced that Hero Internships would be taking place so Aizawa was bringing in some senior students that day to teach you about Hero Work Studies. Your jaw dropped. It was the big three. Togata Mirio, Amakiji Tamaki and Hado Neijre. They were the strongest students in UA.

They were ....strange to say the least. Amakiji was glaring at the class intently and then stated that he wanted to go home. Hado kept asking the class questions and frankly behaved like a little child and Togata's humour was a little too advanced for your grasping.

Soon, everybody moved to Gym Gamma for a training match against Togata after a while.

You and Midoriya charged at Togata together, expecting to do some damage. But you tumbled and fell over before you could hit him. His clothes just fell off.

You went at him again and you fell right through. Your attack hadn't even fazed him. You looked at him, shocked. What the hell was his quirk?

He began scrambling to put his clothes back on while the others took the chance to strike. Once again, it was useless. The attacks went right through and he popped up behind them out of nowhere.

Within minutes, he had taken them all down. You stook there, shook. Holy shit. He really was the closest to being number one.

You began launching attacks at him but he avoided them all. Predicting his moves proved to be useless too. You couldn't hit him.

Before you knew what was going on he went for your stomach and began landing blows, leaving you battered and bruised. He had absolutely no mercy.

The gap between you and Mirio was so glaringly obvious it almost stung. You knew he was an older, more experienced hero but you couldn't help but compare. You needed to get stronger.

"What the fuck happened to you anyway? Idiot." Katsuki said as he brought over some ice.

"Togata Mirio." You stated as you winced when applied the ice to your shoulder. "Tch." He said. You knew he was upset about missing class and being left behind.

"I'll give you the notes. And we can train later if you want." You smiled. He looked at you shocked. Was it that obvious? How did you always manage to read him like a book?

"You want to train?" He said, eying your soar bruised body up and down.
"Yeah. I'm perfectly alright!" You emphasized and reached for a glass of water on the table in front of you and winced. "Can you pass me the water?"
"Go get it yourself if you're so alright." He challenged, kicking the table farther away with his foot.

"You won't even get your girlfriend some water? That's a red flag." You gasped.
"You're the only red flag i see here. You look like one too." He snorted, referring to your bruises.
"Fine! You train alone." You pouted and turned away from him. He chuckled and wrapped an arm around your waist from behind. He gently rested his head on your shoulder and kissed your jaw. You finally turned around and he leaned down, hoping to pull you in for a kiss.

But you quickly pushed him away. Midoriya entered the common room. Katsuki cursed under his breath. Why did the damn nerd always have to butt in?

"Hey, Y/N!" He greeted you. "Hi!" You said getting up. Katsuki scoffed and cussed Midoriya out as usual but he soon left to go through your notes and catch up on studies.

"Y/N. I wanted to talk to you." Midoriya said. "It's about the Hero Work Studies. I wanted to ask you if you maybe wanted to do it together...? I asked All Might to introduce me to Sir Nighteye, his previous sidekick, for the internship but he refused...."

"Oh. So you want me to come with you to get him to reconsider?" You guessed.
"Kinda...?"

You chuckled at his guilty expression. "I was going to ask Hawks..." You thought it over. Hero Work Studies with Hawks would be great, of course, but working with All Might's sidekick sounded like a better deal.

".... Okay!" You decided.

The next day, you and Midoriya went to talk to All Might again but he refused. After some pestering, he finally called Togata to his office and explained the situation to him.

Togata soon agreed to help you. "Thank you so much, Togata!" You beamed. "Please! Call me Mirio! Sir. Nighteye would love you two." He said.

He promised to take you to his agency that weekend.

"Hey Katsuki." You said as you sat in the common room with him.
"Hmm."
"Let's go out during the weekend."
"Can't. I have Hero Provisional Training with stupid half and half."

"You're leaving me for Shoto?" You fake gasped. "Shut the fuck up!" Katsuki popped a vein. "You can't go anywhere yourself in the first place, dumbass! You're doing that stupid internship with that damn nerd Deku."

You had completely forgotten. "Well..." You sighed. He was right. You didn't know why you were so upset about him going away. You just didn't want to be separated from him again. What happened at Kamino made you realise just how much you loved him. You wanted him to just stay at the school where he was safe. You pouted.

He wrapped his arms around you. "Stop pouting, you fucking idiot." He said.
"No. Fuck you."
He sweat dropped at the way you were getting upset when you were leaving too. Even if he stayed, it wasn't like you were going to be there.

"Alright. I'll make it up to you." He kissed you passionately and pulled away, leaving you breathless.

"Not good enough." You said and pulled him in again. He smirked into the kiss.

If someone told him he would fall in love with somebody a year ago he would've laughed in their face. But now, he couldn't imagine not being this deeply in love with you. Your face, your hair, your smile, your scent, everything about you was engraved in his brain. All he thought about was you. It was always you.
