Everyone peered into the screen. Bakugou and Iida seemed to be adopting the same plan as you.

Iida protected the bomb while Bakugou attempted to stall. But knowing Bakugou, you knew he didn't care about the test. He just wanted to fight Midoriya.

As expected, he did just that. You couldn't hear what they were saying but Bakugou didn't seem to care about Uraraka getting away.

He lunged at Midoriya, landing a few blows on him, ripping most of his hero costume to shreds. To your surprise, Midoriya tossed Bakugou over his shoulder, ramming him into the ground painfully.

Bakugou skillfully landed a few more blows on Midoriya but Midoriya seemed to be able to predict his actions.

"Please stop the fight, All Might!" Kirishima requested the hero. "Bakugou's going to murder him at this rate!"

"Young Bakugou, if you do that again, I will be forced to stop the fight!" All Might announced.

Uraraka had made her way to Iida. She knew she was no match for him but she had strategized well. She got past Iida and diffused the bomb just in time

Midoriya and Bakugou were still fighting. In the end, they lunged at each other, causing a huge blast to erupt, shaking the whole building.

The smoke cleared and only Bakugou was left standing. Midoriya seemed to be in a lot of pain, his entire arm looked battered and bruised but time was up and the hero team had won.

"Bakugou may have won the battle but he had lost the war." Tokoyami remarked. His jaw hung open and he glared daggers at Midoriya who was passed out on the ground.

You were proud of Midoriya but you felt really bad for Bakugou. He had worked so hard to get where he was. He didn't deserve to lose.

You ran to Bakugou who seemed to be breathing really heavily, almost hyperventilating, lost in thought. You gently placed your hand on his back which startled him.

"Hey." You said simply, not wanting to make him feel worse. He scoffed, shrugging your hand off, walking away.

After class, you started walking up to Bakugou. He would never admit it, but he needed somebody to talk to. But you saw Midoriya catch up to him before you could.

"Kacchan! I didn't lie to you about not getting my quirk. It's a quirk I borrowed from someone recently. I'm gonna make this quirk my own and beat you with my own power someday!" he declared, rather confidently.

Bakugou just turned around and said "What the hell? Just how stupid do you take me to be, Deku? Borrowed power? I know i lost to you. Thats it. I watched the ice guy. I knew i could never beat him! Damn it! DAMN IT!" He howled with tears welling up in his eyes. "I'll become the number one hero someday! You just watch, Deku! You'll never be able to beat me again"

And with that he walked away. "Wait! Bakugou!" You called out, catching up with him. "It's okay. Talk to me."

"Leave me alone, Y/N." He said. His hand covered his eyes and he increased his pace. He was pushing you away. You wanted to be there for him but you let it go for now, knowing he didnt want you to see him cry.

"Izuku." You said, "I believe we have a lot of catching up to do."

The truth was, you did want to catch up with him but you mostly just wanted to make sure he kept your secret about working as a waitress.

Since you had a shift at Marlo's anyway, you decided to bring him along.

"Y/N. It's been a while." He chirped, sipping tea. "How have you been?" You made some small talk with him, catching up, explaining your situation. Pity filled his eyes.

"I have so many questions, Izuku. What's up with your quirk?" You asked him, finally.

"I- okay, Y/N. You can't tell anybody." He whispered. He explained how All Might had given his quirk to Midoriya to be passed on.

Your jaw hit the ground. He has got to be kidding. You thought. But his expression was solemn as ever.

You agreed to keep his secret and he, yours.
